Gerald George Beedle
March 13, 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of retired London Fire Department Platoon Chief Gerald Beedle on Thursday, March 13th, 2014 at Victoria Hospital surrounded by family in his 80th year. He leaves behind his cherished wife of 59 years, Mary. Beloved father of Susan (Mark) Casey and Sandra Beedle. Lovingly remembered by his adored grandson Brendan Banks (and his father Terry Banks) and step-grandchildren Payton and Hailee Casey. Dear older brother to Wayne (Pat) Beedle. Sadly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents George and Pearl Beedle and brothers Bill and Dennis. Jerry was always on the go and was very involved with the YMCA and Shriner’s. He loved all sports, especially golf and hockey and was a big fan of the London Knights and Maple Leafs. Jerry loved all animals, particularly his many dogs over the years and his current “baby girl”, Liz. He also had a passion for gardening and could often be found with mud up to his knees. On sunny afternoons you’d often find Jerry lounging around the pool listening to the ball game with a good cup of coffee. A gathering to celebrate Gerald’s life with a memorial reception will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, March 17th, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jerry are asked to consider a charity of your choice.

Mary, Sue, Sandy and family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your Dad will truly be missed. Sue, I have many fond memories of our childhood together and your Dad often taking us places, or just around the pool joking and laughing. Great memories.
We were so sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. We will certainly miss our "over the fence" discussions about gardening and just talking about life in general. Thinking of you all as I know just how difficult this time is. Mary, keep waving at me through the window so we know you're OK.
Sue and family So sorry for your loss
