Gerald was a well-respected Chartered Accountant for 45 years and Chair of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He served on the board for Compassion Canada and was Chair of the Finance Committee. Mr. Mills was a wonderful man, and it was good to be able to know him. I look fondly back at the times we shared and seeing him laugh.

Sincere condolences to Pat and your family on the passing of Gerry. I have known him for over 40 years as my accountant for my two companies. He was a kind, generous person who was easy to work with. Always helpful with professional expertise. As a family man,........ from the memory boards,..... he was a devoted father and grandfather and lived a full life. He will be missed for sure, wishing you all the strength going forward and cherish the memories. Sincerely Gord Shuttleworth

Having been linked to the Mills family through the mariage of our son Sebastian and their daughter Cyndi, we have always had great respect for Gerry. He was a man of great integrity. He loved his family and his church. A man of great character, not afraid to spend his spare time to volunteer for causes he believed in. Through his many years of sickness, he showed people around him how to suffer gracefully. We will miss him

~ Eric and Sue Gerber

We were so sorry to hear about Gerald. We have great memories of you two when we were all at Byron Community Chapel. Holding you in our prayers and May God keep you close in the coming days.

~ Jim and Deanna Fawcett

My deepest sympathy to Cyndi and family. Gerry was very helpful to me when my mom died and when my Uncle Art died when I was executor of the estate. I will always remember his kindness at such a sad time in my life. I remember how proud and happy he was when Cyndi and Sebastian got married. Being a close friend of Sebastian's family I was also at the wedding. I know how much he loved his family. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to Patricia on the passing of her husband. I always enjoyed working at your home over the years and know how much Gerald meant to you as you were a great couple to work for. May Gerald rest in peace. (Ed - Forest city brickwork)

Jerry, was my accountant for forty years as we both started our careers about the same time. We did play one round of golf at Sunningdale. Although retiring he did my taxes until I found another accountant. You couldn’t find a nicer man.

Pat, Jenn, Cyndi and families, our sincere sympathies to you all. Rick and I were so saddened to learn of Gerry's passing. Gerry had a profound impact on both of us as we were starting out in our professional careers. Personally, I don't think anyone was more delighted by our marriage and faith walk through the last 30 plus years. We rejoice that Gerry is with Jesus and pain free but know what a hole he has left in his family who he adored. Simply, Gerry was one of the good guys.
