Gilda Fritz (née Böttge)

Peacefully and surrounded by family, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, Gilda Fritz passed away at McCormick Care Group in London. Gilda was born on November 19, 1926, in Halberstadt, Germany, making her in her 99th year when she passed.
Predeceased by her spouse Erich Fritz (2003), as well as parents Rheinholdt and Louisa Böttge of Germany. Also predeceased by her son Paul Fritz (2024), and sister Inge Braun of Germany.
Deeply missed by her children John Fritz (Joy), Charly Fritz (Cathy), and Gabriela Leal (Russell). Survived by her siblings Dieter Bottge, and Rosi Pape and nephew Torsten of Germany. Gilda leaves behind her grandchildren Jason, Lindsay, Sarah, Ricki, Charles, Jessica, and Nicki, as well as 9 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by her extended family in Germany.
Special thanks given to McCormick Home for their dedication while caring for Gilda.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
