I am so saddened by the news of Glenn's passing. Glenn always treated me like one of his own, he looked out for my best interest both at work and on a personal level. He jokingly (and probably not-so-jokingly) always said that he would interview and do background checks on potential boyfriends, and wanted to make sure I didn't become a cat lady. We stayed in touch after I left my role at Reynolds, and we always tried to meet around the holidays to have lunch and catch up. He always wanted to see me doing well for myself. Glenn was a straight-up, blunt kind of guy, and I'd like to think he helped me to develop a bit of a backbone myself. He was a teddy bear deep down, and I'll always remember him for his kind heart, and for pushing me to do better for myself. My thoughts are with his family at this most difficult time. May your memories of him bring you solace, and may he rest in peace.

~ Karen Panico

We heard the tragic news about Glenn and we are in disbelief. On Wintergreen Place he was our great neighbour. Glenn was quiet but always up for a chat if it involved cars, boats, motorcycles or the finer points of detailing the aforementioned! Ingrid and Andrew we want you to know we are thinking of you and we send our most heartfelt condolences. May Glenn rest and ride in peace.

~ The Rebus Family

Glenn and I began our careers 25 years ago in the same training class. Over the many years since we met, we worked together a great deal. I learned to love his wit and wry sense of humor. He just had the gift of being able to say a word, quick quip or throw out a biting question that could stop a conversation in its tracks, make everyone laugh, or both. In recent years, Glenn spoke often about his family who were the focus of his joy and the reason he worked so hard. He loved you all so much. May God Bless and bring healing to all of you in your time of sorrow.

~ Ron Lamb and family

We are deeply saddened and our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the Cook family. Glenn was such a great man, he will be missed and in our thoughts...... words cannot truly express our sorrow and the fond memories shared while Glenn and his family were neighbours for far too short a time. God Bless Ingrid and Andrew...... your husband, your father may he rest in peace.

~ Bill McDowell

I have known Glenn for 16 years, the entire time that I have worked in the Automotive Business. He was a great vendor to have. was always caring and willing to ensure that he made it right!.. I was shocked to hear the news Monday Morning.. always looked forward to seeing Glenn in his Tilley hat giving out Reynolds Golf Balls at the Annual Toyota Golf Tournament. He was always available to talk and ensure that the customer was happy at the end of the day.. A big loss to both Reynolds and to the Cook Family. He will always be remembered as one of the GOOD GUYs.. My thoughts are with Andrew, and his family at this time..

~ Randy Katzman -Policaro Automotive Group

My deepest sympathies to the Cook family. While I personally did not know Glenn, I could tell just what type of a person he was. This is because any and every time I visited my parents in Burlington, and he was out front of his house, he always smiled and/or waved in my direction without hesitation and without even knowing me. Friendly, courteous, and neighbourly - this is how I will remember Glenn.

~ Ken McDowell

Thanks Glenn for being a great leader at work. My thoughts are with the family. Rest in Paradise.

~ Faiq Elahi

Shocking can only describe the news of Glen's passing. Having know Glen for over 20 years, I would characterize him as not only a a great guy, but also a fantastic ambassador for his company. One of the few guys on the supply side of our industry that you simply could not say "no" to!! He will surely be missed by everyone who knew him. On behalf of everyone at DAG, my deepest condolences to Glen's family.

~ Shahin Alizadeh

I'd known Glenn since the mid-seventies, and my wife Claire and self worked alongside Glenn from the early-eighties to early-nineties. Glenn was blessed with a smart, savvy and quick mind and even quicker wit. He brought unique perspectives and welcomed insights to our moments and was an integral and invaluable contributor to the success of our business day. Though our life-paths took us to distances in different directions, I will treasure always, the oodles of fun and fond memories I have of Glenn, as the positive and dedicated person, and friend, that he has been to many. "Those we love, do not go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed, and very dear." Claire and I extend our sincerest and most heartfelt condolences to Ingrid, Andrew, and family.

I had the honour and privlidge of being recruited by Glenn as I started my career. During the incredable 5 years on his team, and 7 years after, he was one of the key mentors who became family. Not only did he jokingly demand to attend my wedding, but always kept a keen interest in my life every few months we'd connect. I would not be where I am today without him. Over the years, I always thanked him for doing so much for myself as well as his team and his customers. He always fought for what was right and was relentless in his efforts. A true unsung hero. He is and will always be an incredible role model. Andrew, your father provided so much support and guidance over the years. I want you to know, in every sense of the word, I'm here for you and your Mom for whatever or whenever you need support. As I know Glenn would do everything in his power to help my family.

~ Eric Pook and Family

May a great man, father and husband rest in peace. My condolences to the entire Cook family.

I was shocked and saddened to read of Glenn's sudden passing. I had worked with him since the mid 1980's and always enjoyed his humour and our conversations. I still frequently saw him when he came in and visited my current place of employment and always enjoyed a quick chat with him. He was one of our Old Gang. Rest well dear friend. My thoughts and prayers are with the Cook Family during this difficult time.

~ Christine Ainslie

Ingrid, Andrew and family - so so sorry to hear about Glen today. Only in the past month he had sent a thoughtful note when our father passed. This evening a number of cherished memories came to me - the powder blue tux for high school graduation that only "Cookie" could pull off; sailing at Bayfield in his boat a trip my Dad enjoyed too and how he took care of my mom each time she bought a new car back in the day. Ingrid - please know we are thinking of you, your son and family. He is always with you in your heart. Laura and Mary Ann (Dunlop)

Our hearts are broken for Ingrid and Andrew. Friends and neighbours for many years we knew Glenn well and loved him. His love for the outdoors whether boating or biking or snow machining was evident. We had great times together as families. I well remember trying to out do Glenn on his Christmas lights. He always won! A light has gone out of our world and he will be sorely missed. We are praying for some form of comfort in this horrendous loss. Love you Sandi and BillHenley

~ Sandi & Bill Kennedy

A loss like this is very unfortunate on so many levels. I have known and worked with Glenn for close to 40 years. He was always my go to guy when I needed help or advise on my DMS. He always had a mature approach in representing his company while being sensitive to his customers needs. My condolences to his family as I am sure he will be missed every day. We will miss him and especially that special smile.

~ Robert Vitali

Very sad news on our condolences to Ingrid and Andrew. Will always remember the great times we had during those hockey years for our sons, and will always be thankful for the help and support Glenn provided. Will miss running into him while out shopping in Burlington, which seemed to happen regularly over the past couple of years.

~ Lawrie & Joanne Butchard

Our deepest condolences to Ingrid and Andrew. As a colleague for many years as well as providing a destination for Glen whether by car, motorcycle, or boat, our family got to know Glen very well! He was helpful in business, and helpful with technical issues at home, we could always count on Glen! I last saw Glen and that wry smile and arched eyebrow at the Auto Show last month. Ingrid and Andrew, try to remember the good times, we know he loved you both very much!
