Gloria B. Jarvis (née Pagani)

March 10, 2017

Passed away peacefully, with family at her side at University Hospital on Friday, March 10th, 2017. Gloria was predeceased (2010) by her devoted husband Tom, of 68 years, and is survived by her children: Carol Jarvis and Terry Jarvis (Sally Woods) all of London. Lovingly known as Glo to her grandchildren: Kelly Hurrell, Kristine Geddes (Pat Boutette), Dan Hurrell, Taylor Jarvis (predeceased), Tannis Jarvis (Paul Lawson); step-granddaughters Tracy Woods and Tammy Hurrell, and lovingly known as GiGi to her 10 great-grandchildren. Gloria is survived by her sister Gerry Dawson of Vancouver and predeceased by siblings: Louie, Mary and Charles Pagani. She will be greatly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews in British Columbia, Michigan and Western USA. In the 1950s, 3M Canada moved Gloria, Tom and their family from Vancouver, BC to Ontario and, in 1956, promoted Tom into their head office in London, where they lived out their lives with many loving, caring and fun family and friends. Gloria was independent and active, co-owner/operator Byron Stationary, volunteered, golfed at Thames, was well known as a great cook and hostess, and a very in control, feisty Italian lady – everyone that enjoyed her has, at the very least, one funny story to laugh at and fondly remember her by. As per Gloria’s wishes, the family had a private cremation. A service to celebrate her life will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mission Services of London would be greatly appreciated.
