Our sincere condolences on Grace’s death. We had known her for many years through our shared interests in tennis, biking, travel, family and just plain having fun. She was a wonderfully skilled tennis player who always played with a sense of fun, fair play and competitive aggression! I spoke to her last only a couple of months ago, after the silent, pandemic years, and she never gave me any indication that she was ill or in discomfort. She only chatted about her family who always gave her joy. She was one of the kindest, generous, unselfish, sweet-tempered people I have had the pleasure of knowing and will miss our occasional long, happy chats. Rest In Peace, Grace. Mary and Brian Morris
John, Peter, Andrew & families, Our thoughts & prayers are with you at the sad passing of Grace. We have known her over 40 years. She used to play outdoor winter platform tennis with us in the 70's. Since then, I have had many tennis games with her at various locations--an excellent player, so humble & great to be on the court with. We remember her infectious smile, her willingness to listen, her uncanny ability to find the positives in any situation and attentiveness to everyone around her. She had a vibrant personality & delightful sense of humour. This world could use more folks like "Grace Dryden". Hopefully her strength, integrity and positive attitude will inspire our lives for years to come. so many family & friends will miss you. Sincerely, Sharon & Roland
Dear John, Peter and Andrew, We were shocked and saddened to hear that Grace had passed away. We first met Grace when our respective sons were at school together, and we recall with fondness many summer evenings spent with Grace as our sons played soccer. She was so energetic and friendly. We have only occasionally met Grace over recent years but, on those occasions, she was always ready to spend time enthusiastically "catching up". We are thinking of you all at this sad time.
Dear John and Family. We were very surprised and saddened to hear of Grace’s death. I (John) had the pleasure of working with Grace and Joan Young preparing for a Nicaragua presentation on Mission and Services Sunday. Her insight and compassion for the less fortunate both here and afar helped me to solidify and present my thoughts for that project. I will miss her smile and twinkle in her eye. John

John and Family, my sincere condolences on the passing of Grace. I met her many years ago when I worked as a summer student at Brown, Beattie, O'Donovan. She was always very kind to me and she was such a lovely colleague. Each year when I would return, she always greeted me with a smile and a chat. Working with her was always such a pleasure. Know that I still think very highly of the time I spent with her. She was a very special woman.
John, we were so saddened upon learning of Grace’s passing. She was such a shining light and she will be missed. We send all of our sympathies, hopes and prayers to you and both your families during this difficult time.
Grace really did have grace. I first met her when she married my brother, Angus, In Ruthwell. I was so delighted, in the years that followed, when I visited Canada, as I met first Peter, and later, Andrew, and I came to admire Grace's skill and loving presence as a mother. It saddened me greatly when the marriage broke up, but I was delighted that Grace kept in touch with my parents and myself, never expecting us to take sides, but simply valuing our place in her life as relatives. I learned a lot from that. It was good to see her find a partner for her later years in John Dryden, and my condolences are with him, as they are with my wonderful nephews, at this time. There are those of us who seek wisdom, always a bit beyond our reach - but Grace somehow lived what she was, fully. So she was well named, Grace.
Dear John and family: I will miss Grace. She was so full of life - always positive, funny and it was wonderful to be around her. I met Grace through the Hickory Chicks and also played with her in the Thursday group. My deepest sympathy to you. Sincerely, Kae Ackland

John, Peter, Andrew and extended family, we are so sorry to hear about Grace’s passing. Greg played tennis with her in the past at Greenhills. He only had good things to say about her. I personally did not know her until we moved here last August and found her to be very likeable. Now that I have read her obituary and have learned a lot more about her I see what an exceptional lady she was. She will certainly be missed by all.
Our sincere sympathies to John, Peter, Andrew and their families. We have special memories of Grace from our time as soccer parents so many years ago. In recent years, I(Karen) have enjoyed visits with her at GH and Hickory. She was always so gracious and kind. She would go out of her way to say hello and ask about the family. We wish you God’s blessings at this time and as you move forward.

Dearest Grace, you were such a gracious and kind person and so easy to be around, hence your name. You had a generous nature and a warmth of spirit that was so welcoming. I’m sure everyone who met you fell in love with you instantly. Joe and I certainly did. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. You touched so many lives during your time here as you touched ours. Our deepest condolences to John and family. Go with grace dear Grace and know that you will not be forgotten.
Grace was such an amazing lady. We first met her at London West Racquet club where she showed everyone how the game should be played- she was awesome and continued to be throughout her life. We also had the pleasure of playing golf with her at Hickory Ridge where she was an active member of the league and won a division championship- she was great at whatever she did! She was always smiling and made you feel good just being around her. She will be greatly missed!! We send our deepest sympathy to all the family and friends.
We are so saddened by news of Grace's illness and sudden passing. We’ve known her through the tennis community for many years. She was always a bright smiling face across the net, ready to hit the big leftie forehand for the winning shots. Our sympathy goes out to family and the many friends who knew Grace.
My sincere condolences to the family of Grace. Grace was a very nice and kind soul. I remember her fondly as part of the London tennis community. Had the pleasure of playing mixed doubles with her. I am very saddened by the news of her passing. God Bless.
So sorry to hear of Grace’s passing. What a lovely woman, always elegant and interesting. We spent many an hour on the tennis court together in the late 70s and early 80s. My condolences to John and her sons (who I remember as little boys!) and grandchildren. And of course to her Scottish family.
