Harold Bradley Parker
November 8, 1953 - June 28, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Harold on Sunday, June 28, 2026, surrounded by his family. A devoted husband, proud father, cherished Papa, son, brother, dedicated social worker and loyal friend.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Kathy, and his sons, Jesse (Jessica) and Alex. His greatest joy in life was becoming ‘Papa’ to Lucas and Sophia. He was their biggest supporter, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer them on at the hockey rink.
He is also survived by his mother Velma Smith (Stutt), sisters Colleen Arbeau (Don) and Sharon Rollins (Doug), Aunt Ollie Campbell (Stutt), extended family and many close friends.
He enjoyed playing senior hockey, riding his vintage red ten-speed bike, woodworking, walking, and traveling — simple pleasures that reflected his appreciation for life, connection and health. He had an affinity for cars and enjoyed many long rides in his MGB.
His love for his family was unconditional and the memories they made together will be cherished forever. Harold was a man whose life was defined by honesty, hard work, kindness, and unwavering love for his family.
As a Social Worker graduate from Western University, he began his career in Mississauga in Vocational Rehabilitation. After achieving his Master’s Degree from the University of Toronto, he returned to London to work at Parkwood Hospital with the Veterans. Lastly he worked at Southwest Center for Forensic Mental Health Care for many years prior to his retirement. He was dedicated to his profession, always treating everyone with dignity, respect, and understanding.
Volunteerism was deeply important to Harold. He worked with veterans, providing custodial visits, and valued the stories they had to share. He gave his time generously through the annual Salvation Army Christmas kettle campaign, and served as an usher at the Port Stanley Theatre.
Harold will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those he loved and served. He leaves behind a legacy of care, community, and quiet strength that will not be forgotten.
Though our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the years we shared with Harold. He will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
Visitation will be held at at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. An interment will follow the service at Parkhill Cemetery, London at 2:00 p.m.

I’m very sorry to hear of Harold’s passing. I was Harold’s classmate in the social work program. He was dating Kathy then and would talk about knowing that she was the girl for him. He was right. I kept contact over the years as his mother Velma was my wonderful friend and neighbour. Harold was thoughtful and kind and he had a great sense of humour. He loved his boys and family and he will be missed.
Dear Kathy and Family, Harold was my MSW preceptor 22 years ago. He was insightful, thoughtful, and challenging of “norms” which as a social worker can be a difficult place when the rhetoric is not what people want to hear, but this is what made him great. He challenged me and supported me. His support led me to Parkwood for my career which I’m forever grateful for. I know how much he cared for you Kathy and your boys! He loved his family. My thought are with you all during this time ❤️
This is such sad news. I enjoyed working with Harold at Parkwood and shared much laughter over the years. My condolences to Kathy and family. He will be missed.
