The Treasured Years of Harry Robert Jennings July 22, 1934 – June 2, 2025

During Harry’s early years, the Jennings home was filled with music, with stringed instruments as well as a harmonica or two. That joyful rhythm grew even sweeter when he met and married his doting wife, Eleanor, sharing life together for over 68 years, a lifetime of love and partnership.

Together, Harry and Eleanor raised their family—Albert, Ralph (Heather), Joanne, Randy (Katharine), and Daryl (Kim) —adding new notes to their family song. The crack of a bat at a slow-pitch game and the snap of the campfire during the annual family summer campouts are fond memories of times together.

As years passed, Harry became the proud grandfather of Nicolyse (Kali), Morrigan, Eric, Amy, Bradley, and Ryan. Each grandchild grew up knowing a Grandpa who loved Sudoku puzzles, practiced Tai Chi, and even shared some golden oldies on his harmonica — Harry’s joy deepened further with the arrival of his great-grandchildren, Dominic and Ellie, a cherished gift in his story.

Harry’s life will be celebrated in true Jennings style with Backyard Songs & Stories on Saturday, June 7 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. under the sun. Friends and family are invited to stop in for a visit to share memories, play some music, and hear the echo of Harry’s harmonica carrying one last rendition of You Are My Sunshine.
