Heather Louise Richmond, R.N.

September 5, 2025

Beloved daughter of Marg and Dick Richmond of Waterloo, loving sister of Michael (Stephanie) of Cambridge, and cool aunt to Kaiden and Sara, passed on September 5, 2025 after bravely facing cancer.  Heather was proud of her profession and loved her 25-year career in the Cardiac Care Unit at London University Hospital, where she had wonderful friends who stood by her to the end.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Anyone wishing to make a donation in Heather’s name is encouraged to donate to a charity of their choice.

I first met Heather when I would transfer patients up to CCU from Emerg. Her kind beautiful smile would greet us and my fears of being reprimanded were quickly replaced with Heather's gentle support and validation. She was always lifting up nurses with her intelligent humor. She was a privilege to work with and a joy at every celebration. I will miss her forever.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Heather. I can see her sideways grin and hear that mischievous giggle. We worked many crazy night shifts together in CCu and you know Heather always had your back. I remember her updating us with photos of her niece and nephew on their last resort vacation, she talked about them all the time. I will always remember her fondly, and her baking... If you know you know

Heather had the best smile and always had us laughing on the night shift. She was kind to everyone and was a great resource if you had questions. She always brought in the best treats on nights. Heather will be missed by so many. My sincere condolences to her family as well as her work family. May you rest in peace.

Heather was a beautiful soul with the most contagious laugh and smile. She made working the night shift that much more enjoyable, even the difficult ones. When I was new to working in CCU she would always tease me and ask what sort of trouble I would cause that shift and when I did run into trouble she was always one of the first people there to lend a hand. Rest in the sweetest peace.

Heather has been a coworker and friend to me for nearly two decades. She always brought with her a smile and laughter to every shift, even the tough ones. Rest easy dear friend. You are missed.

Words can’t explain how much you are missed, dear Heather. I am missing you already. I am still hoping that you will somehow show up at 1900 to lead us into another night shift, reassuring us that it will be a good one. You left us too early. Never had a chance to say goodbyes. However, I am comforted by this feeling of profound peace when I think of you as I feel that you are in eternal glory.

Heather worked night shift and I worked days. As she would be leaving her night shift she always had a smile and a hi. Even after working 12 hours nights. You will be missed. May you rest in peace.
