Helen Hendersen (née Wood) Beattie
May 6, 2020
Passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at 79 years young, after a long hospitalized battle. The constant fighter of life through the past year, Helen’s life was full of love and family, alongside her most beloved friend and husband, Ron Beattie, of 60 years, with a most recent anniversary. Ron and Helen together, lived a life of love with family, two daughters and one son. Terri Beattie, Sherri Haggith (Pete), and Chad Beattie (Hayley). Helen lived her last months, weeks and days, reliving daily memories of all the places travelled throughout the past 60 years, and reliving memories once lost, only to be rejuvenated by the wonder of memory, smiles, laughter, destinations, and loving tears.
Sadly missed by loving granddaughters, Danielle Ramage (Graham), Kendra Haggith (Andrew), and Whitney Haggith. Beloved great-grandchildren Briarley, Grayson, Declan, Georgia, Kyla, and Walker.
Predeceased by her parents, Nellie and Archie, and brother John Wood (son’s Joel and Todd). Dear sister to Willie (Mimi) Wood, of Okotoks, AB; and Cathy Holmes (son Shawn), of London, ON.
Cherished nieces, nephews, (Great) of brother Willie and Mimi, Leighann & Miriam Leigh, Shelley (Katie, Michael, Elley Claire, Billy), Daniel and Sarah (Scott), Claire and Collin (Thea’, Mac), Ellen and Blair (Raymond, Daniel).
It is with very heavy hearts we announce Helen’s passing, albeit with the spirit of Helen’s life, we know she is in a beautiful world, no longer with pain endured of the recent year, looking upon everyone with a glowing heart.
