Helen Horlor

On Thursday, April 7th, 2016 at Extendicare London in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Jerry for 60 years. Loving mother of Scott (Jean) Horlor and Sonja Walper, and grandmother of Emily and Bradley. Dear sister of Mary (Gord) Williams and Karen (Doug) Courtney. Sadly missed by her nieces, especially Cheryl O’Meara, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her siblings Bill German, Ebba Exley, Ella Pennecott and Greta Garnett. Thank you to all the nursing staff at Royalcliffe Retirement Residence and Extendicare for their care and compassion. The funeral service will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, April 11th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Helen are asked to consider the London Health Sciences Foundation – Cancer Centre, London Humane Society or The Arthritis Society.

I was so sorry to read of Helen's passing in the paper. She was a wonderful lady with such a great sense of humour. I have many fond memories of great stories and laughs when she worked at CPRI. We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Helen. Jerry and Helen have been great friends to my grandparents, Jack and Kathleen Gray, whilst living in the Royalcliffe. We enjoyed spending time Helen and her tell-it-like-it-is humour and listening to her lively stories.
