Helen (née Weitzenbauer) Rehorst
January 26, 2021
Passed away peacefully at her home, with her son, Jacob, by her side, on Tuesday, January 26th, 2021, after a two-year battle with cancer, fought bravely with courage, strength, and perseverance. She is remembered for her unwavering positivity, kindness, and desire to spread love to friends or strangers. She is survived by her children: Jacob (Joel), Matthew (Kathryn), and Kassandra (Trevor); grandchildren: Jessica, Alyssa, Mason, Lyla, Logan, and Theodore; siblings: Ralph (Sylvia), Margit (Randy), and Ingrid (Greg); nieces, Jessica and Josie; and grandnephew, Koen. Predeceased by her father Peter and mother Ann. Helen loved her family and friends more than anything; they brought her the most joy, with many friends being considered family. Her joy and warmth are truly irreplaceable. In Helen’s memory, her family encourages you to treat everyone with kindness and compassion. A small private service will be held, with a celebration of Helen’s life to be held at a later date, as Helen wanted everyone she loved and shared her light with to be in one place to share memories and love. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed in her name to the London Regional Cancer Program: >https://lhsf.ca/ways-give/memory.

So sad to learn of Helen passing and find out that she lived in Timmins. My deepest sympathies to Inga, Magrit, Ralph and Jacob; the grandchildren, nieces, nephews. It was a chock to find out that you lived just three hours away. Helen we lost touch, but you weren't forgotten. The last time we saw each other was when you came back home to show your children where you lived as a child. I have great memories of our times playing together, going on a trip with you and your parents to see where you lived prior to Moonbeam. We had fun biking, canoeing, skating and sliding that the hill all the way to the lake. Well my old friend may you RIP.
My condolences to Helen's family. I worked with her at the LTC. We would often ride to work together. She was always fun to be around. I took her to range in Aylmer one time to do some target shooting. We had so much fun. I will always remember her smile and positive attitude! May she rest in peace.
My condolences to you Jake and family. I was blessed when I met Helen at work. She became a true friend. I thought the world of her. I told her (even thou, I'm only a couple years younger) that I wanted to grow up just like her. I'm sad we won't have our talks anymore but I will hold onto wonderful memories forever.
My heartfelt condolences to Helens family and friends. Working with Helen was a privilege. As lovely as she was on the outside, the real beauty was beneath that outer shell. I feel the world is a little darker with her absence but the sky a little brighter. I honestly can say I never met anyone like Helen. Her warmth, humor, and positivity are something to aspire to.
We would like to send sincere condolences to Helens family, relatives and friends. You will be forever in our memory Jean and Claude
So sad to here as I worked with her . She was such a good person.
When Helen walked in, her smile was the first thing you noticed, followed by her upbeat personality then her kindness. She will be missed by so many. Our condolences to all.

You are in our thoughts and prayers, Jake and Joel, Matt and Kathryn and Kassandra and Trevor and families. Helen was an amazing lady. We always enjoyed chatting with her. She could light up any room she entered! She was always so upbeat and positive. We also loved watching her interact with children, including ours. She was so great with them and always made time for them. Sending our love â¤ï¸
My sincere condolences to you Jake on the loss of your Mom. To Kassandra, Matthew, and your extended families. As well the Weitzenbauer Family. May the memories of her and the love of your close family surround you & give you strength, peace in the days ahead. Know that you all are in my thoughts & prayers. The smiles, laughter were all there when I last saw her in the Calgary Airport ladies room, couple years ago. Surprised as we each were to see each other, we talked, laughed, & hugged each other as we each went to board our flights. Memories A mother is with us always. First in her lifetime. Then forever in our memory. Annette Rehorst-Hummel
