August 9, 2019

Peacefully at the McCormick Home on Friday, August 9, 2019, Mrs. Helen Reddon, in her 84th year. Survived by her husband, John, of 59 years. Loving mother of Glenda, Andrew, James, and Philip. Cherished grandmother of 12 wonderful grandchildren. Dear sister of Florence Neville, Catherine Lemieux, Pierre Lemieux, and Gerald Lemieux. Predeceased by three sisters and two brothers. Helen was an accomplished stained glass artist with many commissions in the London area. She graduated as a Registered Nurse, but chose to devote herself to raising her family. The family would like to thank the McCormick Home attendants, RN’s and Dr. Tai for their excellent care over the last three and a half years. A memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Helen are asked to consider the McCormick Care Foundation.

Ken and Carol Dear John My final memory of Helen is from the day she and I turned 80 years old. She looked very fit,, was walking briskly along the Corridors of McCormick House. We knew she wouldn't recognize us, but after all,, It was OUR Birthday. We had enjoyed many special dates together over a lifetime. Together you and Helen were a force with which to be reckoned. You raised amazing children,, Did it all with Dignity and Grace. Helen's legacy of Stained Glass found around this city of London is only one of her many artistic talents. She was also my fierce partner at Duplicate Bridge until the cards began to lose their appeal for us. I miss my "birthday-buddy" but will always have the fond memories with which we carry on. Our Deepest Sympathies to you and Andrew, Glenda, Jim, Philip and all your grand-children in this most sorrowful of times. Ken and Carol
