Two years ago, I was informed that Harry would celebrate his 102 birthday. The pandemic presented some obstacles for the caring and cautious Parkwood staff. Once Sean Irwin of CTV London was involved, plans to celebrate moved along. The First Hussars recognising Harry as one of the few surviving World War Two veterans, made every effort to help him celebrate with his Regimental family. On hand that day was the Commanding Officer, the Regimental Sergeant Major and other past senior officers. We were pleased to meet and learn more about Harry, his attractive wife and children. A small contingent visited him two weeks ago for his 104 birthday. The First Hussars Regiment expresses their condolences to Harry’s family and will always remember him as a Gallant Hussar. Sorry to see Uncle Harry has passed away. He was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed my conversations with him. He lived a long and full life.
I express my deepest sympathy during this time of sorrow. The Bible promises that your loved one will soon live again on a beautiful paradise earth when death will be no more in John 5:28, 29.
Uncle Harry was one of the most positive people we have ever met. Even in his later years, anytime we visited him he seemed upbeat and positive no matter what his circumstances. As the last of the Favell brothers, sadly it really is the end of an era to see him go.

We were so sorry to learn of Uncle Harry’s passing. Wow what a life he lived. As a kid I remember many Christmas Eves hosted at Aunt Ronnie’s and Uncle Harry’s. The house was packed with family and friends celebrating the holiday. Lots of laugher, good food and story telling. Uncle Harry always took an interest in what you had been up to and what you were going to do next. He made you feel important. ❤️
