Peacefully at Parkwood Institute, London on June 17, 2016, Herman Rosenbohm, of London, age 87. Herman was born in Hagen, Germany to the late Wilhelm and Catharine (Hinte) Rosenbohm. Beloved husband of the late Rosa (Mathes) Rosenbohm (1982) and companion of the late Dina Moslinger (2008). Dearly loved father of Ernie Rosenbohm (Cathy), Ida Rosenbohm, the late Erika Weber, Helga Weber, and Rosemary Crawford (Rocky). Cherished Opa to grandchildren Jay Adams (Lesley) and Kim Misic (Jim). Adoring Big Opa to great-grandchildren Kyla and Cole, whom he always greeted with chocolate bars in hand. Herman retired from Uniroyal in Kitchener, ON. His retirement years were spent in Kitchener, Guelph and London. He was an avid traveller, a big soccer and hockey fan and a true animal lover. Herman was a large supporter of charitable causes of all kinds. In keeping with Herman’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There is neither a visitation nor a funeral home service. A private family service will take place at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Kitchener of which he was a member. Those who wish to make a memorial donation may consider the London Regional Cancer Program or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

My deepest sympathy Ida, Ernie ,Helga ,Rosemary, Kim and family. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Herman was a kind person. He was a loving companion to my Mom. I have many special memories of them together. They enjoyed travelling, especially Germany, Hawaii and Rome Italy. He loved to spoil the grandchildren Adam, Luke, and Kara as they were growing up.He was very fond of the many cats that my mom and him had adopted.I have memories of him watching hockey with sometimes 2 cats on his lap. With sympathy, Iris
Our deepest sympathy & love go out to Ida, Ernie, Helga, Rosemary, Kim, Jay and families. We hope you are finding comfort at this sad time with your many memories of Herman. Our family will always treasure our times with "Uncle" Herman. He was a devoted partner to my mom, Dina for 20+ years. They both enjoyed the outdoors at Flanders Rd., Guelph, watching the birds and in Herman's case trying to outwit the squirrels from getting to the birdfeeders. We spent many lovely weekends visiting them in Guelph or when they would visit us in Chatham. Uncle Herman took Adam, Luke & Kara on numerous trips (& adventures) to Chapters and together with Dina they loved going to get ice cream treats. He came to watch many of the kids various sports activities; i.e. soccer, hockey, ringette, curling, etc. and was a very supportive fan. He will remain a special uncle in their hearts. Herman had a deep interest in the world and I, Peter, have many fond memories of the history, world news, geography and sport discussions we shared together. We also remember Herman's kind and gentle nature for all people and of course to all animals. Love Peter, Gillian, Adam, Luke and Kara.

My deep condolences to the Rosebohm family. The Rosenbohm's were our backyard neighbors in Kitchener for many years. I spent a lot time with Ida in her home and Rosa and Herman were always so welcoming. May your happy memories bring you comfort in the days ahead.
