Our deepest condolences to Alexander, Cathy and the grandchildren. Horst was our beloved neighbour for close to two decades. "Horsty" was family to us we loved him so very much. Our grandson Shayon lived between your dad's yard and ours. He will live on in our hearts and in our garden. His touch is all over our yard. Love and Blessings, Tony , Lorraine Brown and family

Our sympathies to you,Alexander, and to your family at the loss of your father and grandfather. We were all very saddened here on Topping Lane to hear this news over the weekend. He was a kind, generous and helpful neighbour to so many of us - never too busy to help out with a project or pick and share the flowers and produce from his gardens. We loved to watch him working away in his back yard until well into the dusk hours. He has been missed since his move to St. Catharines but it was good that he has been near his family these past months. We will remember his spirit and drink a toast to him at our condo complex barbecue this summer. Sincerely, Sarah Roberts and Cathy Harrison.

Dear Behring Family: I was saddened to learn of the passing of Horst. He and I worked for the London PUC when it was responsible for the administration of Parks system for the City of London. I worked in the uptown office and got to know Horst when he came to look after the plants and flowers at City Hall. He was a diligent gardener and took great pride in his workmanship. My deepest condolences.
