Bruce was such a valuable member of the woodcarving group at the seniors centre, helping people feel at home and always ready with a kind word. I so enjoyed the many times we carved together, over a period of 20 years. He will be missed.

Although we did not have the pleasure of visiting with Uncle Bruce during recent years we nevertheless had some good chats on the phone. He always expressed a sincere interest in how you and your family were doing. A gentle soft spoken man who always had your best interests at heart. My Dad William Bud Hearse often told stories is just what a great hockey and baseball athlete Bruce was in his younger years. Bud posseses one of his many talented bird carvings. We shall cherish his craftsmanship in the years to come. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to all my cousins and their respective families during this time of great loss. May the days to follow in 2017 be much kinder and full of bright hope. Diane & Dennis Hearse, Bobcaygeon.

We didn't know Bruce long but, he was such a kind man and always remembered Mom (Kay) whenever we would see him at Grandwood. It was always nice to chat over Sunday dinner in the sunroom, too. Brenda our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Bruce was a special buddy to me. His extraordinary warmth and care was remarkable. He touched me (Max) deeply. His sons exhibit that same special quality. He was a mentor to all.
