When I was in London from 1987 to 2000, I worked with Ina. There is nothing more that I can say that has not been said so well by JoAnn and Barry. My sincerest condolences.

To Ina's entire family, my sincerest condolences. Ina was the first person who called me when our office in Ottawa was closing down and offered me to move to London to work in her unit. I think she was more upset about the closure than I was. We may not have always agreed on everything but she was always respectful and caring. I hope that your great memories of her will get you through this difficult time. May God bless.

Ina was a work friend to me for 25 years. She was a mentor and confidant. Her dedication and commitment to always "getting it right" was unquestioned. She was a role model who inspired and taught us well. To Ina's personal and CBSA families - my sincerest condolences. Ina will always be remembered. She was a fine Canadian citizen who will continue to walk along side us.

I can only imagine the loss that your family is feeling at this time. Ina was the best friend to many of us and she will be missed more than you know. I know that her and I, and sometimes Debbie Hamilton, had many trips to GTA for meetings, etc., and we always had so much fun. It was truly an honour to have had the opportunity to know Ina. Although we did not have the opportunity to work directly together, I was fortunate to have had many conversations with Ina over the years. Her integrity, insight, humour and acute sense of the realities of the complexities of work and the workplace, made Ina a very wise and treasured resource to me but of course, she was far more than that. As an HR Advisor, the key attribute for me was always focused on respect and it was readily apparent to me that Ina had the respect of a great many people at work. My sincere condolences to Ina's family and her many, many co-workers.

While we both worked at the London Gov't of Canada site, I knew Ina best as my next door neighbour. I'll never forget the great BBQ'S she and Dan would have for the neighbours, and their annual backyard fish fry! She was always a fun hostess with lots of food and drink and laughs. Ina was an incredible woman. I worked with her for many years and she was one of the hardest working and dedicated people that I know. She had the intelligence of 20 officers- which means a lot as there were many smart people in the office. She had soft, warm eyes that welcomed everyone but could turn steely when provoked. She had a fire in her belly that allowed her to stand up to her managers and get what was right for her staff and the office. She had a great sense of humour and wit and she could hand it out as well as take it. She was fair and she was thoughtful. She was honest even if it was difficult to hear the truth, but she said it with heartfelt compassion. I was a Union Stewart for some years and had the unsavory job of handling grievances. Dealing with Ina was a treat. She and I would sit down and work out a solution- well, Ina always resolved the issue with a win-win solution. The unusual part of this process was that Ina refused to take any of the credit for the outcome- even though she did 99% of the work. A happy staff was enough for her. I consider Ina my friend and owe her a great deal. Often, after I had spoken to Ina I'd say "thank you for all that you do for us" (which she always poo-poo'd). I had no idea those words would turn out to be some of the most cherished words of mine. Ina was one of a kind and will be missed by many. My sympathies go out to the MacRae family and I hope they find solace.

So saddened to hear about Ina. We have many good memories. Both Gord and I send our deepest condolences to you and the family.

Dear Dan, Victoria and family, We were heartbroken to hear of Ina's passing. JoAnn worked with her for many years and enjoyed the privilege of doing so. She was committed to raising the bar in so many areas of our workplace and worked tirelessly towards excellence. Her kindness and compassion towards other gained her the respect of many who worked alongside her. So sorry for your loss. I remember Ina from my employment at Revenue Canada some 35 years ago. She was an awesome boss and a hard worker. May she rest in peace and may God give her family strength at this difficult time.

I am completely heartbroken for you Dan and Victoria. Ina was amazing. I have so many wonderful memories of her over the years. We were always the young crowd back in the day. I can remember ripping around London together in my Vette listening to a Bob Marley 8 track. She was always so open and truly genuine. I really admired her. We hadn't seen each other in years. But I know she was a proud wife, mom and grandmother. My sincere condolences to her family.
