Peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Cherished husband of Deborah Stock of 25 years. Stepfather of Richard Kennedy (Kim) and Heather Kennedy (Juergen). Proud Opa of Lexi and Asher Kennedy. Missed by his sister Charlotte Burck; sisters-in-law Pam Young (Bill), Mary Stock (Ken); and brother-in-law Stephen Stock (Lorraine). Jaap was a man of many hobbies and interests, including skiing, biking, golfing, and travelling. He had many wonderful friends, and enjoyed the cottage life. He especially enjoyed participating in many activities with Lexi and Asher, who loved him dearly. Memorial reception will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Private interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jaap are asked to consider the ALS Society of Canada.

Dear Debby...Jaap passing is a huge shock to Bev and myself. I had no idea he was ill. He was fantastic to work with, kind considerate and interested in you. I will never ever forget the retirement party he arranged for me. We both participated together in Curling and went Biking together many times. I will miss him very much. Jaap was an outstanding teammate at Emco. He was not only a colleague, but a dear friend as well. I will remember his wonderful, contagious laugh. What a great human being he was. I had the privilege of travelling and cycling with Jaap, and what fun we had ! My last ride with him was in Niagara Fall in 2018. So sorry to get this news. Condolences to Debi and Heather. Maybe Heather can call me at 519-649-6715. I will be out of town unfortunately on July 18. (I have lost touch with Jaap over the past few years.)

Jaap was a successful, intelligent and loving person. He was a wonderful husband, brother and grandfather. He will be sorely missed. My condolences to my best friend Debi and her family.
