It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jacalyn Simpkins on October 29th, 2025, at Victoria Hospital in London ON at the age of 60. Angels danced the day Jacalyn was born on March 10th, 1965 in Toronto ON.
While we are grief stricken, we know she is now reunited in Heaven with her parents John Albert Schwalm {d.2001} and Emma Jane Schwalm (née Bigelow){d. 1985}.
Jacalyn was married to the love of her life, Robert Harvey Simpkins and they would have celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on December 30th, 2025. Jacalyn will be deeply missed by her children, Lauraine Sara Jane, and Jordan Kendall John, and by her cherished grandchildren, Austin Kendall James and Owen Jamie Jordan, her only sibling, Gael Elaine Margaret Fisher (James Kenneth), and her niece Sara Jane Elaine (Grant), along with her Aunt Margaret, Aunt Gael, many cousins and the multitude of friends she made throughout the years.
Jacalyn loved the Lord and never hesitated to share the gospel with others. Jacalyn was known for her unwavering determination, unsurpassed love and support for her family. Jacalyn was a talented artist and could turn any blank canvas into a meaningful masterpiece.
A graveside service will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 303 Riverside Drive, London, on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice or to “My Sisters Place” in London. This charity was particularly close to Jacalyn’s heart.

Jackie was always blessed to have a sister and support like my mother. Through the years I've heard my mom tell me numerous stories of love, friendship, laughs and pride she had as her big sister. My fondest memories was her making us her homemade KD with buttered bread crumbs, getting treats and watching a movie or show. She would do my makeup and try to teach me how to paint on canvas. Her talent couldn't be taught. It was magic. When I was little she felt more like a sister. When I was a teenager she was my cool aunt. I'll always cherish those memories❤️

Dearest Jacalyn: Not only did Angels dance the day you were born, but so did I. God completed our family when He picked you to be my Little Sis. The bond we had between us in the early years was strong, real and truly unsurpassed. You will be missed everyday and you were loved more than you ever knew on this earth. But you surely know now. What a comfort for us that you had a wonderful belief and relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Rest comfortably with our loved ones in Heaven along with lots of laughter and a little 'flibbertigibbet' just like Maria in one of our most favourite movies. See you one day again my little sister 'Jacalyn Ann Carol'. (The photo of the Prayer Shawl is especially for you)
She is my wife. The best person I have ever been with. Most loving and understanding very forgiving she loves the Lord. She was always positive towards me. I know she loved me very much. I loved her very much still love her. I don't know how I'm gonna get by without her missing her very much. She was the best wife in the world. She was so kind so beautiful. Rest in peace, my beautiful wife. Everybody loved you everybody, especially your children and grandchildren. Until we meet again, my love Rest in peace.

My wife watched movies over and over again. But 2 of her favorite movies were patch of blue and sweet. November.
