May I express my condolences for your loss. Jim and I served as aldermen during the same period of time on London City Council. He was always a man of integrity and always had good advice. We will all miss him.

I am so sorry to hear about Jim. Although I haven't seen him much the last some-odd years I knew him well back in the 60's, 70's and 80's. I met him when he first started to date Dale. I spend hours polishing his step-father's car and was at the wedding. I spent more hours than I could even imagine working on renovations to the house and campaigning for him when he was running for and in political office. His step-father was Big Jim, he was Middle Jim, and I was Little Jim when it came to having to differentiate. Being in his home hundreds of times and his company thousands of hours I never saw anything but him being a true gentleman and never heard a cross word come from him. He was always full of a sense of humour but could be quite serious and a great voice of reason. What I saw was a man who was a great son, husband, father, step-son, and son-in-law. I missed him when his life changed and I no longer seemed to fit in. I think at times true happiness eluded him but he was always just like a brother to me. I missed Jennifer and Jim-John (as we called him when young) after his life changed. I hope he sleeps well and finds true happiness in the life he will now start to lead. Rest well Jim.
