Deanne &family, We send you our deepest condolences. We met you both when we joined Greenhills, and always enjoyed your warmth, friendliness and humor. We have so many good memories of both of you. May peace be with you at this time. Sincerely Lynn &Bill Arbing
Deanne and family: We are deeply saddened by your loss. Jim has touched our lives in so many ways over the past years with his energy and dedication in curling, golf and the Canadian Celtic Choir. We have fond memories of how Jim chased us around the neighbourhood trying to get us to join the choir. He succeeded in spite of our resistance and we are forever grateful. Unfortunately we will be unable to be with you on Saturday but our thoughts will be with you. Eric and Mary Ellen
Dear Deanne, I was extremely saddened to hear of Jim's recent passing, and wanted to pass along my very sincere condolences to you and your family. Jim was such an integral part of the Canadian Celtic Choir, and I know it will take all of us awhile to realize exactly how many tasks he took on willingly and without fuss. As others have noted, and I wish to reiterate, Jim was such a gentle and giving man, and had a wonderful, kind personality. I wish I could be at Jim's Celebration of Life Ceremony tomorrow, but I am in Nova Scotia at this time with my daughter and family. Please know that I will be there in spirit, singing along with those of the choir who will be able to make it. Once again, my sincere sympathies and condolences to you at this difficult time. Barbara
I remember Jim fondly from my time in the Canadian Celtic Choir. He was a kind man and will be missed.
Saddened to hear the news. Thinking of all the Fiitzes especially at this difficult time.
One of the really good guys. Kind, generous, good sense of humour, a person you could always count on. I have fond memories of working and playing together. Deanne and family we are thinking of you, your loss and great memories. Dave & Joan
Dear Deanne, words cannot express the sadness I feel for you and your family at this sad and difficult time. As many others have expressed Jim was the heart and soul and had his hand on the pulse of this choir. He took on too may roles to list. Thank you for graciously and patiently putting up with us as Jim took care of his choir. We will all miss him and his voice terribly. RIP Jim
To Deanne and family, I joined the choir in January 2015 and as always Jim was the first person to contact me about membership.May your many, many happy memories of such a humble , wonderful, and gentle man give you comfort and peace. Jim was truly a treasure to know. He will be missed greatly.....
Dear Deanne and family. It is hard to imagine a world without Jim in it. His curiosity about what people think about a particular topic for discussion was always good for getting talking going. We shall never forget his attempts at convincing us that we should form a co-op for living together in our older age, with each of us being responsible for our main interest. As Deanne and I were nurses, we opted out of the program, much to Jim's chagrin. Jim was only to happy to offer his services for being in charge of the many remote controls to all our TVs. We did enjoy many conversations around the topic. The curling years we wonderful and provided us with many great memories, especially winning the club championship in Deanne's first year of curling....1981! Thanks for the memories, Jim. Ken, you did a very remarkable eulogy for your dad with the obvious input from Larry and Mary Lynn. Jean and Ken Walmsley
My sincere condolences. I regret that I never met Jim. Sounds like we have a lot in common other than being cousins.

Dear Deanne, I have been in the Canadian Celtic Choir for nearly seven years, and I saw Jim as the very heart of the choir. He made things work, and he was much loved and appreciated by all of the choristers. Jim was one of the first people to befriend me when I joined the choir and I liked and admired him very much. One thing that impressed me right from the start was his obvious love for you. He wore his heart on his sleeve. I have had you and your family in my thoughts since I heard the sad news last night Sarah and I send our heartfelt sympathy.
Dear Deanne and Family: Jim was the first to welcome me officially to the Canadian Celtic Choir in April of 2010 and from that moment on I realized what a very special man and personality he was for this choir. We had many a meeting together at the Timmy's in Byron to go over things and management issues for the choir. One thing I realized rather quickly was the fact that even though the choir took a vast amount of he time he always made room for you Deanne and the family. Jim made a number of trips with you to Florida but always managed to have the choir affairs in order before leaving for his extended holidays with you, Deanne. I want you to know that Jim was loved deeply by all of us in the choir and may we all emulate the humility of this gentle soul. Somewhere in heaven he is playing golf and taking time to sing in the All Saints Choir! Brenda and I offer our deepest sympathy for the loss of a husband, father, and friend to so many.
Dear Deanne Sorry to hear of Jim"s passing our deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Dear Deanne and the Kids. Growing up knowing you for 55+ years being part of my parents lives, hearing all the accolades of the kids lives in sports adventures and your trips abroad. Coming to the cottage year after year, spending time in London too. We share your sympathy and sincere condolences. I am so happy you shared a recent visit to eastern Ontario, as you have to take advantage of these chances when you can. You made Heather and Dave so happy with your reminiscing. Again, love you from afar.
Jim you were an exceptionally kind person and a real gentleman! You will be missed by all who knew you. My deepest sympathies to your wife & family from me & my family. May your memory be forever!
Dear Deanne and all the family We share deeply the sorrow in your hearts. I keep thinking how deeply Jim touched so many people with his openness to all we threw at him! The memories just keep flooding in from the friendship that budded at Greenhills, to our great Muskoka trips, to all the golf we shared, to the few short years in the Celtic Choir, to the fabulous trip together to Newfoundland, to Florida and South Carolina adventures to your annual visits to the cottage, to always keeping your door open for us for sleepovers and so much more. Most recently we so enjoyed your visit to Uxbridge for which we are now especially grateful. For Jim I'm so glad that his golf swing is now perfected forever. We have lost such a dear friend and we cherish the opportunity to continue our friendship with you and promise to keep in touch always. We are praying for you and the family and ask God's blessing on all of you.
Dear Deanne and family, we share in the sorrow you are all feeling. Jim was one of the first members of the Choir to welcome me and I could feel the warmth of his gentle personality. His contributions to the group cannot be overstated. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our condolences. Heaven has gained another tenor.

Dear Deanne and Family, we are deeply saddened to hear of Jim's passing. We are left with many great memories of being with Jim and his family. We enjoyed many milestones through the years. We also had many laughs over the years. We have travelled together and enjoyed many rounds of golf at home and afar as well. Jim is well known, well respected and loved in London and he will be greatly missed, but remembered very fondly, especially by the two of us. We regret that we will be with family in the west coast on Saturday, but will have your in our thoughts and prayers. Much love.....

Dear Deanne & family: I was in total shock on Sunday evening when I heard the news. Just last Friday, Jim, you & I were talking in your kitchen and feeling positive about finally finding out what was the cause of Jim's recent frailty. Jim was truly the heart and soul of the Canadian Celtic Choir and I will miss working with him so closely on all the concerts. His gentle spirit will be with us forever. We are dedicating our spring concert to his memory. It was my honor to toast Jim at last night's CCC Christmas dinner. Kay, Julianna & I send you our love and sympathy. Deep Peace.
Dear Deanne and Family. From curling mixed for several years together to golfing at Greenhills and away as well as visiting in Florida and lots of dinners and bottles of wine, we have so many great memories. You have both always epitomized the adage of treating your family like friends and your friends like family. We have been honored to feel like part of that family. We along with so many other family and friends will miss Jim and his gentle ways greatly. A dear friend and a true gentleman. Lots of love. Cindy and Bruce.
Dear Deanne and family: I first met Jim not at Greenhills but at London Life. I had transferred into the Marketing department from the Kitchener regional office. Jim introduced himself and welcomed me to the department. When GA and I joined Greenhills one of the first members to welcome me and also GA was Jim. Jim will be greatly missed by all of his fellow golfers at Greenhills. Bonnie and GA.
Words are not enough to describe Jim's soul and kindness. He was a very good friend, sincere and opened his heart to me and my family in Canada. I will be grateful forever and I will keep the best memories shared together at the Canadian Celtic Choir. Have a good trip dear Jim ... the best one beyond life ...
