Dear Wilda & Family, Remembering you at this time as you say 'Goodbye' to a kind & loving husband, father & servant. Many of us benefitted from Bob's involvement in our lives, whether through his serving as a Youth Group sponsor (with Wilda), or in other ways. May you know His comfort in these days. Brian Crawford (Chiang Mai, Thailand)
Wilda, Cathy and Debbie. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Bob was a huge mentor in my life and I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing but very grateful for all the memories of the times spent with him. Through many roles, baseball coach, College and Career sponsor or working with him on the Church Finance team he continually and unselfishly built into my life
Dear Wilda & Family, With the LCPC celebrating it's 25 years this Friday we have been going memory lane these past few months and a fond memory among all of us here is the Forth family. Your family fingerprints are ALL OVER this precious ministry. It has been an absolute joy and blessing to have served together in caring for the many God has brought through the doors of LCPC and the Mommy & Me Program. Our relationship goes way back before our LCPC relationship and we are thankful for the impact both you and Bob have had on our lives (Lori & Linda). Our prayers are with you all. We will miss Bob very much!! May His strength be your comfort and your many wonderful memories keep you smiling. Love always, the LCPC team.
Dear Wilda and family, I wish I could be there to hug you as you and Bob have done for me many times over the years as I have grieved. May you feel God's great comfort and strength during this time. Louise will have Bob cornered in heaven by now and will be wanting him to tell her all about you and the kids and the grandkids! What a wonderful reunion it will be when we can all be together once again. Much love and prayers, Jeanine
To Wilda, Debbie, Cathy and family: My heartfelt condolences to you all during this very difficult time. May the Lord provide you comfort and strength as you try and celebrate Bob's life as a loving husband, father and grandfather. I have always enjoyed our time together in business and in friendship. Bob's love for his family was ever present and will continue as he looks upon you from above. May he now rest in peace at the right hand of the Father for eternity. I share with you my deepest sympathy, prayer and love to you all, Roger
Bob was such an encouragement to many of the C & C youth at Wortley Baptist Church during the 70's. He was present and available and always had the right words to say. Well done, good and faithful servant, he has fought the good fight, finished the course and kept the faith. May the Lord's promises continue to comfort his family during this time and in the days ahead.
Wilda, Cathy and Debbie...As so many have already shared, Bob has left his fingerprints on untold numbers of lives. In BIG ways and small, his life has made an impact and in many ways, an eternal impact. Among my fondest memories of Bob were our weekly appointments to sit on your couch and watch Remington Steele. Despite the fact no one else understood this bizarre obsession we both had with the show, it was an evening I always looked forward to, where memories were made of fun times spent together. Did it make an eternal difference? Likely not in this case, but it made a difference nonetheless and left me with a fond memory that to this day makes me smile when I think of Bob. Those were good days. No one will miss him more than you, his beloved family but be assured, many many others are standing with you, sad to see a friend depart but also rejoicing with you that because we believe in a Risen Savior, we will all be together again in eternity. And OH WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE! Keeping you all in my prayers in the days ahead. May God comfort you as only HE can!
Dear Jenn, Ryan & Jordyn, Our deepest condolences to you and your family. May your cherished memories comfort you at this time and in the days ahead. Love, Mom & Bruce xo
Dear Wilda and family, The world holds a little less goodness and wonder today but heaven is rejoicing in its newest citizen. I was quite young maybe 14 years old when I met Bob for the first time and he started to teach me what it meant to be a "real Christian". I will always remember him as man who always displayed grace and dignity with an indomitable will and zest for life. He taught me much of how I now live my Christian life. I also remember that in our Sunday School class he could be both stern and gentle, correcting and compassionate, protective and yet freeing, but most of all .... generous with his love and compassion for his students. He told me one day that his greatest joy in life ... second only to his love of Christ ... was his family and his beautiful easy smile always demonstrated that love when any one of his kids entered the room. I am looking forward to seeing that smile again one day....... but this time because one of his students... me..... has entered heaven because of his commitment to teaching Christ and Christ alone.
Dear Deb, Cathy and Wilda, What a guy Bob was...quiet, thoughtful, determined, following our Lord and struggling day by day towards the "everlasting habitations." And now he is there, where "all tears are wiped away." Thanks be to God. A faithful servant has entered his rest. My memory of Bob was that, knowing his hope was in Jesus, he was always positive, upbeat, "reaching forward to those things which are ahead..." My prayer is that you will be given grace to do the same. Ray
