ON THE WINGS OF AN ANGEL In shadow moments I see the glow With warm surrender she lets him go Courageous steps and weary days Years of journey appear not to faze A couple's love is surely shown From the struggles they have grown This magic has a special place Bear witness to their love embrace With angel wings she guides him through A love so pure, forever true Has tenderness upon each breath Right through the doorway to his death On earth we walk each normal day Yet stop a while and kneel to pray Revere the gift that passes here Behold in awe, that final tear I am the better man for this For there will be remembered bliss A purposed life in days gone by On angel’s wings he does now fly In Memory of Tom Wright January 7th, 2014 By Joan Ball
