Jean Emily La Voie Welshman

With deep sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jean at The Village of Glendale Crossing on Wednesday, April 27th, 2016. Jean was born on June 29th, 1923 to James and Stella Arnold. Predeceased by her husbands Donald Welshman and Joseph Gerard La Voie; son Joseph Norman La Voie; her twin sister June Hilton; brother Clifford Arnold; and sisters Marjorie Harvey and Frieda Smith. Cherished mother of Kim Welshman (Dave Woodcock) , Richard (Val), Douglas (Marianne) and Gary La Voie. She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Loving aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews in Ontario and British Columbia, who will cherish her always. She was much loved by her friends and will always be remembered for her loving personality and thoughtful caring way. Thanks to all the wonderful, giving staff of Glendale Crossing, who so lovingly cared for our Mother. The funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, May 2nd, 2016 at 2:30 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jean are asked to consider the Canadian Diabetes Association.
