Suddenly at University Hospital, on Wednesday, July 26th, 2017, in her 74th year. Beloved wife of Peter Poetker for 47 years and one day. Cherished mother of Matthew Poetker (Diane). Loving grandmother of Brayden, Adalyn, and Emily. Survived by her brother, William Butterfield (late Carol) and sister, Arlene Waddell (late Victor). Predeceased by brothers Fred and Garry Butterfield. Jean will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. The funeral service will be conducted at ST. JOHN THE DIVINE ANGLICAN CHURCH, 21557 Richmond Street, London on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jean are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Dear Peter, Matthew & family, sorry to hear of Jean's passing. Gerald has fond memories of his cousin Jean especially from their time growing up on neighbouring farms. He often tells a story of he & Jean hitching their horses up to a cart & them getting away on them for an exciting ride. We hope that good memories will provide some comfort to you and your family in this difficult time.

Uncle Pete, Matt, Diane and kids: I'm so sorry about the passing of Auntie Jean. While I can't be there in person this week, you are not far from my thoughts and prayers. I have so many great memories of my aunt - visits at the farm, last year's visit in London, and her love of her garden and her dogs. I'm so glad that she was able to be so close to her precious grand babies that I know she loved so much. May she Rest In Peace now that her struggles are over.
