Jennifer Margaret Sharpe
April 14, 2019
It is with extreme sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of Jennifer Margaret Sharpe, at the age of 44, on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at her home in St. Thomas. Beloved and cherished daughter of Peggy and Merv. With a mischievous twinkle in her eye, she made us wonder what she knew that we did not. She communicated in her own special way; her eyes, smile and gestures left no doubt of her message. She had a smile that would melt your heart, and she touched everyone who met her. Such was her particular brand of magic that was so endearing to her friends and family. Jenny will be deeply missed by her aunts and uncle: Patricia Sharpe, Paul Wellington, Mary Pearson, Nancy Inchley, and by her cousins: Stephen Inchley, Laura and Mike Klassen, Rebecca, Adam and Brian Pearson. Survived by her great-aunts Betty Humphrey and Linda McDonald. Also missed by her guides to all things Disney, the Gibson Family, and by her housemate, Chris Boyce-Boyer. Predeceased by her grandparents Mervin and Margaret Sharpe, and Harry and Pauline Wellington. Jennifer was a proud graduate from the Developmental Centre, Princess Anne and Banting Secondary School. Special thank you to her Participation House family, who enriched her life beyond measure for 10 and a half years. Many have accompanied Jennifer on her adventures and accomplishments and filled her life with so much love. We are forever grateful for the special mark she has left on our lives. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation two hours prior. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jennifer are asked to consider the Participation House Foundation.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Sharpe, I have just learned of Jenny's passing. It was a little over a year ago. From experience, I have learned that marking those 'firsts' in that year is incredibly challenging, and that the grief morphs over the years. May you find comfort in one another and your loving memories. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Merv and Peggy - I recall with respect and fondness the time you introduced us to Jennifer- and the joy she felt in being cherished by two exceptional people as her parents. Professionally you are both brilliant people- but your gift of teaching others compassion, love, and positivity will linger beyond Jenny's lifespan and even your own.
Dear Peggy and Merv, I am deeply sorry for this sudden loss of Jenny, who really was such a presence, and made a difference in lots of lives. I saw her not too long ago in a restaurant, having a great time, as she always did. Fond memories of her being part of Lisa's Circle and seeing her and Merv doing their rounds at Masonville. I am so glad I knew her, and she will be missed by many. Holding you all in my heart! love, Susannah
