Dear Lori and Trent and families. Sorry to hear today that your Mom had passed away. I am glad that Joan and I had a chance last summer when she was staying at Horizon Place to recall some good times centered around curling days and Cashspiel committee meetings at Highland. We always had something to chat about and a laugh or two to share. I will always have fond memories of your Mom. SSincerely, Mary Margaret
My condolences to Lori and Trent and families. I missed Joan the last couple of years and will continue to think of her when I see her grandchildren carrying on the Easter curling tradition. The curling rink was always more fun when she and Arnie were around. Thanks for the games Joan. Libby Dawson

God Bless Joan's family and Joan. What a great, spirited lady. We had many great talks about curling in Ottawa and egg salad sandwiches. I will really miss her faith, laughter and zest for life - wow what a legacy. God Bless Linda Darowski
Joan and Arnie were great friends to Bob and I and we have many wonderful memories of our times together. Joan was my "sister " and best friend, boy did we have alot of laughs together over the years, curling, golfing, and just being together. Joan loved a good time and I am so grateful to have had her in my life. I know she is at peace now with Arnie, her one and only love. Our hearts go out to her family We know you will miss her always. God Bless you.
Joan, you have always been a very special friend to Maisie. She loves you like a sister. I loved the stories of the fun you two used to have while traveling. I remember sharing a hotel room in Toronto with you and Mom when I was only 19 and how you and Maisie loved to tell the story about how I kept telling YOU guys to be quiet! I remember your tourtière pie and what a wonderful cook you are. I loved our visits and you always had cold beer on hand. You always made us laugh! We are grateful for many years of your friendship. Happy that you are now with Arnie once again. With love, The Manuel Family

We were very sad to hear today of Joan's passing. We hold fond memories of Joan & Arnie in Cornwall. They were great curlers and such fun people, such a big part of curling in Cornwall in the 60's . We send our sincere sympathies to the family.
To the Easter family: Joanie watched out for me like a second mom when I was in London. I worked with both her and Lori when she started up Gin & Tonic. What fun was that! I loved her spirit, contagious laugh and valued her guidance – I will always remember both Joan and Arnie fondly! Take care my friend.

The Easter Family, As you know, Joanie was a very special person to me! She made London feel like a second home when I was there either golfing or curling! I am sad and happy at the same time. Knowing that she is with her beloved Arnie makes it somewhat easier. I can still hear Joanie 's laugh and her infectious smile that lite any room she was in. I will miss her dearly!! Love, Marilyn
