Peacefully, at University Hospital on Saturday, May 21, 2016, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of Manfred. Loving mother of Hans-Rudi (Yvette) Kroeker, and Ingrid Kroeker. Cherished Oma of Carlyn (Fraser), Jason (Shanna), Adam (Samantha), Erik (Samantha), and Martha (James). Proud Gross Oma of Hudson, Brody, Chase, and Henry. Cherished step-mother of Stefan (Christina), Michael (Deborah), and Marina, and their children Saskia, Roland, Felix, Matthew, Benjamin, Nicholas, and Cian. Sister of Lydia Barczynski. Hansi was born on May 23, 1924, on the Mennonite Estate Wrocow in Galicia Poland. She studied at the Universities of Vienna, Munich, Stuttgart, and Manitoba, where she achieved her Master of Science. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2:00-4:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the service at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the London Children’s Museum.

My deepest condolences at the loss of Johanne. I did not know her long but I could tell that she was a vibrant, caring, and loving woman. I am very happy to have met her and Manfred.
My sympathy to you, Manfred, and your family. I always enjoyed meeting up with Hansi, and I know you will miss her badly. Thinking of you! Anneliese
