John was my department head at Clarke Road for many years. John was always cheerful and helpful carrying out his duties. He will be missed by many former teachers that benefited from his knowledge and friendship. It must be true that only the good die young. I will not be able to attend the visitations or funeral but rest assured that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

~ Ralph Field

I wanted to thank the Benny's for all the help John has given me. He tutored me in several high school math courses after his retirement. He was always patient and welcoming. He helped me to graduate from high school and achieve the marks I needed to attend Fanshawe College. He also offered me a job mowing the lawn for a few summers while you were away. He will be missed. Your neighbour, Kevin
