Peacefully at University Hospital on Saturday, May 15, 2010. John Marinus Strybosch of London in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Lena (nee Aarts) Strybosch. Loving father of Martin Strybosch of London, Bill Strybosch (Sheila) of London, Mary Anne DeBruyn (John) of Blenheim, Wilhelmine Strybosch of London, John Strybosch (Sue) of London, Peter Strybosch (Nikole) of Vancouver and the late Dorothy Strybosch (1964). Loving grandfather of Michael, Ashleigh, Emily, Robert, Gregory, Paul (Angie), Marla, Britney, Braden and Kevin. Dear brother of Tonny van den Boomen (Gerry), Ricky McNeill (Neil), Anthony Strybosch (Dianne). John is predeceased by his sisters Nelly van den Boomen (late Martin), Josephine Strybosch (Harry) and by his brothers Martin Strybosch (Irene) and William Strybosch (Leona). John, who immigrated to Canada with his family in 1951, was instrumental in the growth of St. Willibrord Credit Union (Libro). Recently, he was inducted into the Middlesex County Agricultural Hall of Fame for his work in the agricultural lending field. Visitation will be held at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Wednesday, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., with prayers at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 20th, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street. Interment Strathroy Catholic Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of John are asked to consider London Health Sciences Center-Cancer Program.
