Peacefully, with family by his side, at University Hospital, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Natália for 58 years. Loving father of Paulo and Fátima. Adored grandfather of Nicole, Erica, Aydan, Shawn, Ethan, and Quintan. José will be greatly missed by his brothers Leonardo and António.
A funeral service will be conducted at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation 3 hours prior. For those unable to attend the funeral service a livestream has been made available.

Dear Natalia and Family, we are so deeply sorry for Joe’s passing. You are in our hearts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Joe, your loss lives a huge void in our lives. We will miss you more than words can say and we will always carry you in our hearts. Your kind spirit, beautiful blue eyes, the big smile on your face and all the many happy memories will live on forever in our hearts 💙
