With deep love and sadness, we said goodbye to our Joe, who passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Marion for over 65 years. Proud father of the late Wes (Vivian), Lynne (Alf), Janet (Jay), Kirk (Sharon), Tyler (Jen) and the late Jim. He adored his grandchildren; Jeff, Carly (Thomas), Lindsay (Mark), Megan, Haley (Jared), Evan, Jake and Sam (Christina). Joe will be lovingly remembered by the Wade family; Tyeona, Kieara, Treniece and DeJarious and their mother, Vanessa. Joe will also be fondly remembered by his little sister, Maxine, brother-in-law, Willy (the late Vicky) and their families, as well as his sisters-in-law, Noni (John) and Bev (the late Gerry), brother-in-law, the late Ted, and their families. Joe was predeceased by his brothers Jim and Doug.
Joe was a devoted teacher in London. He had an avid interest in sports and coached many teams over his career. Joe co-founded the London GymKips gymnastics club, and enjoyed his role as ‘Joe Friday’ with the Original Kids Theatre Company.
Joe spent many happy summers at the cottage, surrounded by family.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Sonia Lopez and all the staff who cared for him at McCormick Day Program and Westmount Gardens.
