Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Victoria Hospital, London, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles “Charlie” Tweney (2013). Much loved mother of Christine Lee (Ken), of London, David Gray (Gail), of West Palm Beach, and Kathy Gray-Egan (Doug Egan), of London. Loving grandmother and great-grandmother of Jennifer Casburn (Jeff) and their children Addison and Ben; Jason Lee (Kaleigh) and their child Logan; Matthew Gray, Torey Egan and Breanne Egan. Joy will be lovingly remembered by Charlie’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Robert Tweney (Donna), their children Greg (Val) and their daughters Meagan and Allison, and Debbie, and her daughter Brittany, all of St. Catharines; Richard Tweney (Helene) and their children Emma and Brett, all of Cobourg; MaryAnn Collyer (Donald), their daughters Miranda (Mike) and their daughters Ella and Mikayla, and Laura, all of London and Oakville; Susan Tweney (Doug Ritchie), of Hamilton; and Joann Tweney and her children Anna, Alex and Emily, all of St. Catharines. Survived by her sister Lorna O’Grady (Earl). Predeceased by her parents Edgar and Mildred Patterson. A memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Joy are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program or the Alzheimer Society Canada.
