Bonnie, Frannie, Debbie & family, I am so sorry for your loss. I'm Helen's daughter Veronica. Even though I didn't know my aunt Joyce very well, I remember her as a fun-loving gal that made me feel comfortable whenever I was around her. She always had a smile for everyone. Aunt Joyce was a free spirit and that is what I loved about her. Thinking of you all and wishing you peace and comfort through your memories. 💙

~ Veronica Lalonde

I am Helen's son Randy. What can I say about Aunt Joyce? She told it how it was with no BS. I liked and admired her for that. She was a breathe of fresh air and quite a character. Always enjoyed the times we got to shoot the breeze. We spoke the same language most of which isn't fit for print. So sad for her to be gone but definitely not forgotten. Hope to see you on the other side Joyce.

To Bonnie, Franny and family our deepest condolences. Your mom was a wonderful fun neighbour and friend. Remembering her laugh and always a good story to tell. We all loved Joyce for who she was, remembering her fondly. Mom will miss talking with her. May she rest in peace.

As a childhood friend of Franny, I have so many happy memories of Joyce. Her ‘spicy’ way of talking, warm smile and solid laugh will always make me smile in remembrance. Caring thoughts to Franny, Bonnie and the entire family. Karen

RIP my dear friend Joyce I enjoyed being your friend. I always looked forward to our buggy rides and you always treated me with an ice cream cone and you’d have caramel sundae. You had a good sense of humour and we’ve had great laughs together. You were caring & loving person. I’ll miss you very much.

A laugh that followed her- a smile that lit a room - a warm heart who always asked how the kids were. Fond memories to “ one of a kind” who always shared her wisdom, thoughts and humour. Our thoughts of peace and great memories to all the family. It was a great pleasure having shared our time at Cherwaty’s with Joyce and Bill throughout the years.
