Joyce Wright

May 17, 2018

Passed from this place on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 5:55 p.m. Joyce found peace with dignity and grace, as was her way. The spring evening was reflective of her – gentle, warm and quiet. Joyce was with family and in the best of care at St. Joseph’s Hospice in London, Ontario. Joyce was born in Manchester, England (November 11, 1943). Beloved wife of the late Don Wright (2011). Joyce will be deeply missed by her admiring son and ‘daughter’ Glen and Tanis Wright; adoring grandsons Jake, Colin (Kyraith) and Ayden; and loving niece Michelle Rees (née Fitton) and family, Adrian, Samantha and Stuart. A Celebration of Life will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Joyce are asked to consider St. Joseph’s Hospice or Childhood Cancer Canada.

We are deeply sad and will miss a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to many. She always cared deeply for others and comforted us. She understood human nature. Joyce's humour and sense of whimsy brought a laugh and smile to all who knew her. My family and I send sincere condolences to her family. I will miss you so much Joyce, Your friend Chris Roberts Creek, BC

So sorry to hear the very sad news of Joyce, our dearest, almost lifelong friend, who will always be treasured by all of us. What a brave, positive lady and wonderful godmother to Denise & Paula. Many happy hours spent in our gardens together throughout the years together with Avis and schooldays. Will miss the many newsie letters and chats. Joyce was always so supportive and kind, my bridesmaid, "auntie" to our girls and not forgetting Don who was "uncle" too. Will always keep the wonderful memories of our lives, holidays, weddings. births and trips across the oceans together. May the angels guide you on this last journey. Our condolences to all of your lovely family. All our love, Gloria, Denise & Paula xx
