Kathleen “Kay” Hackney

Passed at home on Monday, December 12, 2022 at the age of 98 and into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Beloved aunt of Wayne (Gerda), Ernie (Anna), Linda (Ronald) and John (Janice). Survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Hilda, her sister Hilda May, and brother-in-law George Robert Gray.
Kay began working at Bell Canada as a typist. She graduated from the Canadian Bible College in Regina. She eventually held the position of a Dean of the Canadian Bible College, now Ambrose University. She worked at St. Paul College as assistant to the president and also spent several years as secretary in a couple of churches finishing her career as administrative assistant of a private law firm prior to retirement.
Her family wishes to express their gratitude to Sandy Litke, Vi Hewitt, Shirley Burrows, Deb Chamberlin, Marilyn, Yolanta Kalakowiska, Ruth, Robina Maffei and many others for their help, love and care for Kay. We also wish to thank Shelley Ripley-Bulckaert for looking after Kay and providing guidance and support as Kay journeyed through these past few years.
Cremation has taken place. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Kay are asked to consider West London Alliance Church Missions, Prison Ministries Arva Ontario or Teen Challenge London Ontario.
