Kathleen Root (née Kelly)

Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, January 3, 2016, at the age of 93. Cherished wife of the late Rev. Claude Root (1997). Loving mother of Lori (Jim) Brooks of London, and Rev. Canon Rick (Mary) Root of Powell River, B.C. Beloved Grandma of Michael (Brenda) Brooks of Lambeth, Kristen (Len) Walker of Calgary, Scott (Jackie) Root of Calgary, Susan (Peter) Hall of London and Matthew Root of Toronto. Great-Grandma of Stephanie, Nathan, Emily, Aaron, David, Claire, Rebecca, Emma, Brianna and Katelyn. Step-Grandmother of Chris, Alex and John. Loving sister of Eva McRoberts and sister-in-law of Patricia Kelly. Predeceased by her infant son Michael, and brother Robert Kelly. A private Celebration of Life will be held, followed by interment of ashes at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, Kay requested that a donation be made to the charity of your own choosing.
