Kathy (Manser) Lambier
January 8, 2014
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 in her 66th year with her husband of 45 years by her side. Kathy is survived by her loving husband Bob; children Kyle, Josh and Jamie (Janet); cherished grandchildren Maelle and 2.0 (due to arrive next week). Kathy is predeceased by her brother Jim Manser and her beloved parents Syl and Rita Manser. Kathy enjoyed a distinguished teaching career that spanned 31 years culminating with her retirement at Jack Chambers Public School in London. Lifelong joys for Kathy included her beloved Cairn Terriers, any and all creative and theatrical events and endeavors, her backyard and swimming pool, sitting in front of a roaring fire with a fine glass of wine, and above all, her family. No one knew how to celebrate each and every holiday like Kathy – Christmas and Halloween being her particular specialties. Kathy lived to celebrate, entertain and revel in her family’s successes and accomplishments. Visitation will be held on Friday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the celebration of Kathy’s life being conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Sunday, January 12th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Kathy would be greatly appreciated to the London Health Sciences Foundation – Cancer Centre.

Bob & Family . Not only did both Frank and I have the opportunity to work with Bob over the years, we were fortunate enough to have Kathy teach our two youngest daughters. What a truly amazing and dedicated teacher. Many nights when I went to pick the girls up at the after school age program Kathy would be one of the only teachers still in the school. We have many stories we could tell but the one that stands out was when Kathy asked our daughter to take the lead role in her play Whack A Doo Zoo. We still watch the tape of this and admire the work that went into that performance. The confidence that she instilled in Laura has had a life long impact as she is working on her doctorate program. May the many memories provide you comfort in this sad time.
Bob, my sincere condolences to you and your family.
Bob and kids, my condolences to you all. I grew up beside the Mansers and considered them my other family. Many fond memories of playing with your kids when they were young and being treated like family by all of you. So sad they are all gone now. My thoughts are with all of you at this time.
I first met Kathy when she was a student teacher of my grade 13 french class at St Marys DCVI in 1974-75. She was a dynamic presence in the classroom and we all loved her immediately. I have never forgotten her - how many people remember ANY student teacher they had? I remember her because she was so positive, so people oriented, and so passionate about teaching. She took our class to Quebec City during Carnival - I remember that she was pregnant at the time, and she had to promise the principal that she wouldn't go down the big toboggan slide outside the Chateau Frontenac. A group of us ran into her after a day or so in Quebec and we asked her if she had kept her promise. She smiled that wonderful infectious smile of hers and confessed that she had been down it 3 times! Our paths crossed from time to time, as we were both employed by the London/Thames Valley Board. She was always a person I admired and liked very much. I am so sorry to hear that such a lovely person has died. My sympathies to her family. She was very special.
Bob & Family - Wendy and I are so very sorry to hear of the passing of Kathy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of grief.
It was a great pleasure to teach with Kathy for 10 years. She was always bubbly, kind, creative, genuine and full of energy. We shared a love of the arts and Kathy's unique way with her students always impressed me. She was a gift to the teaching profession and the many students who she touched over the years! My daughter was very fortunate to be in her 1996-97 grade one class, the year of 'The Jungle Book' presentation, (which we still have a recording of). A fantastic memory to have! Kathy will be truly missed by many. My condolences to Bob and his family
Dear Bob & Family, We will always cherish our conversations with Kathy regarding her Cairn Terriers, her excitement about their adventures could be felt all the way to N.B.Kathy's love for her family was expressed in such a very special way.We have been bless over the years with Kathy's hand crafted Christmas cards ,which we still have. Our love & prayers go to you.We will always remember this wonderful Lady.May the joy of the Lord be your strength!
So saddened by Kathy's passing. She was my daughters teacher at Jack Chambers and we both loved her. I also had the opportunity to work in the classroom with Kathy, on a volunteer bases and enjoyed every moment of it. She was not only a great asset to the education system , she was an all around special person. I'm sure she will be missed by all.
Dear Bob & Family From our family to your family our sincere condolences at this very difficult time. We have just lost a dear family member as well from cancer and it is a very difficult time for all of you however Kathy's legacy is most special.
My son was fortunate enough to have Mrs. Lambier as his grade 2 teacher - Kathy was the consumate teacher who understood the needs of "her" children and guided them to develop at their own pace and to their full potential. She reassured parents and enjoyed the love and respect of all the children she taught. We feel very fortunate to have known her and are thankful that our son had the opportunity to learn from her at such a critical stage in his development . He went on to excel at university and is now a lawyer & we believe the foundation for that potential was first tapped in her classroom. We can't imagine how painful her loss is to the family and only hope that knowing that she made such a difference to so many may help in time to ease the pain. Our thoughts and prayers are with you .
A very special; Lady. I will always have a special place in my heart for her. My Condolences to all her friends and family.....

Janet, Jamie, Mr. Lambier, Kyle and Josh, I was very sad to hear about the passing of Mrs. Lambier. I have many fond memories of visiting her at home and being welcomed so warmly. Her enthusiasm for life, her love for her family and dogs, were always evident and made it so enjoyable to be around her. I will always remember her excitement with the wedding, despite the endless preparation and work that she happily undertook, and the fun we had during and through reflection afterward, while going through hundreds of photos together. Our prayers are with you and we hope that you will continue to have moments in life that bring your thoughts back to those many happy times you shared with her.

If I Could If I could take all hopes and dreams and blow softly on them like kisses, into streams. I would. If I could take despair, ball it up and toss it into the air. I would. If I could take away all pain, lay it down upon the ground and watch as the rain rinses it away ,without a sound. I would. If I could make a rainbow of every color and hue, put all pain, loss and despair upon it up in the sky , so crystal blue. I would. If I could take all laughter, smiles and sighs and have the birds listen in the clouds above the sky. I would. If I could send my warm thoughts to you and have them cover you, in a blanket of soft blue. I would. Pam- January 9/14

We are all so ver sorry for your loss. Two of our children were fortunate enough to have Kathy as a grade two teacher at Jack Chambers. Our oldest son voluntarily worked on a play with Kathy before attending Laurier University in the Concurrent Teaching Program, providing him with the benefit of invaluable teaching experience as well as a glowing reference letter needed for admittance to the program. With four children, we are very seasoned in what compiles a perfect teacher. Kathy set the bar for all future teachers. She was such an enthusiastic, very honest, and realistic educator - what more could you ask for? My children truly learned and grew in her class, and we as parents did as well. The stories she shared with her classes trickled home to us, and we all benefited from the life lessons she was sharing, We can only imagine how difficult her passing for you can be, based on our sadness upon learning of it this morning, Please know that someone like Kathy will never be forgotten, and she will continue to elevate and inspire others to be more like her. So very, very sorry for your loss. She was such a lovely person to be associated with, and surely that is of great comfort to you now. Colleen, Tom, Geoff, Gregory, Jillian and Grant Mills
Bob and family, we would like to express our sincere sympathy on the passing of your wife, mother and grandmother. May you find comfort in your memories.
