Keith Andress

Sadly, Keith Andress passed on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Parkwood Hospital.    Cherished husband of Susan Andress (née Rosenberg).  Loving father of Natalie Andress-Schenning (2022).  Beloved brother of sister Sandra Gatschene (Wayne – 2017).  Dear brother-in-law of Donna Appleton (Dennis – 2018) and Ruth-Anne Lefebvre (Grant).  Proud and loving Papa of grandchildren Logan and Ava.  Dearly loved uncle of Shawn Gatschene, Amber Kuntz, Christopher Appleton, Jonathan Appleton, Kimberley Kickham and Holly Fairlie (Brett).  Keith will be sadly missed by his great-nieces, great-nephew, family and friends.

Keith was predeceased by his parents Robert (1967) and Ruth Andress-Dakin (2001), as well as his step-father Wallace Dakin (2009).

Keith was a person who liked to be on the move – literally.  In his teens and onward he drove fast motorcycles and muscle cars.  He liked variety, always moving on to something faster and shinier.  During the span of our marriage Keith owned four beautiful Mustang GT’s, the last one being a “California Special Edition” convertible. Our daughter Natalie and I nicknamed Keith the “Mustang Man”. He also enjoyed playing sports; namely baseball, basketball and volleyball.  When our daughter Natalie arrived, he was so relieved, as he worried that a son would have created too much havoc in our lives, as he had done to his own parents!

Keith enjoyed being an assistant coach for Natalie’s baseball team, really getting the girls to hustle around those bases.  He was always there for Natalie whenever she needed him and she knew that.

Natalie and Derek gave us two loving grandchildren, Logan and Ava.  Keith was a very proud Papa and we both enjoyed Logan’s exciting hockey games and watching little Ava take to the ice and perform in the Winter Carnival in Thedford.  Papa and I were so pleased that you and your Dad came to Parkwood Hospital where we enjoyed our visit together in their lovely garden, surrounded by nature.  It was a happy and beautiful day as Papa and I always loved seeing your smiling faces and enjoying your big hugs.  Logan and Ava, Papa loved you both so much, and he always will.

Being a social type of guy, Keith would meet up with his old Fanshawe College buddies to celebrate birthdays, as well as the Christmas luncheon dubbed the “Senile Santas.”  They were such a great group of friends to be a part of.  He would also meet monthly with the City of London retiree group to enjoy a beer and to reminisce about their working days at “good old” City Hall.  Keith was a dedicated employee of the City of London for several years in the Clerk’s Department as the City License Officer.  Later on he became a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer.  Keith always took his job very seriously, working diligently throughout his career.

Keith’s family wishes to give a “Sincere Thank You” to the Doctors, Nurses, Social Workers, Therapists and to all staff both at University Hospital and at Parkwood Hospital who were a part of Keith’s ongoing care. Keith and I felt a special appreciation for Parkwood’s dedication to his care given in such a patient and kind manner with lots of smiling faces.

He was a good man and he is sadly missed.  Keith and our loving daughter, Natalie Sarah, will now be reunited in Heaven to rest in peace together, which is comforting to know.  Save a place for me. A family graveside funeral to take place at a later date, when Natalie’s urn will be placed between Keith’s and Susan’s urns to be united for eternity. (Susan – Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother).
