Kenneth Harold Reavely

June 27, 2022

With profound sadness and broken hearts, and with his family by his side, Kenneth Harold Reavely passed away at University Hospital in London, Ontario on Monday, June 27th, 2022 in his 87th year.

Ken is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley (nee Dengate); his daughter Christine (Jay Jackson); his son Brian (Dina Salman); and his 5 grandchildren Brandon, Ryan, Megan, Braydon and Jordan. Predeceased by his parents Dr. G. Harold Reavely and Ruby May Reavely.

Ken was born in London, England in 1936 and came to London, Ontario in 1937. He attended school at Lady Beck and Sir Adam Beck, furthering his studies at Western University. He worked at London Life for 35 years, retiring in 1991 to then drive for Robert Q and Murphy Bus Lines to keep him busy. Earlier in his life he was a Football Trainer for the London Lords, volunteered as a fire fighter, and had his pilot’s license as he loved to fly. Ken was an Auxillary with the London Police Force and a member of St. John Ambulance for many, many years. He was highly involved with the churches he was a member of over his lifetime as Treasurer and singing in the choir with Shirley. He received honours and awards for his bravery and service to the community throughout his life. He loved camping with his family, was a huge lover of ALL animals, was a war buff, and Christmas was hands-down his favourite time of year. The greatest roles of his life were that of husband, father, and grandfather.

Everyone that knew Ken loved him, as it was impossible not to.

Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel (709 Wonderland Road North, London) on Wednesday, July 6th, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 7th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
