Krishna Bhalla

On Sunday, July 12, 2026, Krishna Bhalla passed away peacefully at University Hospital, London. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Puran Chand Bhalla and her parents, Ram and Chinto Dhawan. She is survived by her daughter Dr. Rashmi Bhalla, grandchildren Shivani and Vishnu Rai and son Kapil Bhalla (Kiran) and grandchildren Tania and Daksh Bhalla.
Krishna was born in Punjab, India and immigrated to Canada in 1969. She lived in Kitchener/Waterloo and in Cambridge before moving to Sarnia in the 1980, where she owned and operated the Faulds Motel for 25 years.
Krishna was a genuine, kind soul. She was always cheerful and happy. Her greatest joy in life was supporting her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. She was always ready to help anyone in need. In her younger days she enjoyed road trips and picnics with family and friends and epic camping trips to Darien Lakes. In her Sarnia years, she loved playing slots at the Point Edward Casino. Krishna loved being a hostess and inviting half the town over for dinner. Whether she was serving kulfi at her pool parties, making home-made pizza from scratch, enjoying a peach schnapps or whipping up a good old-fashioned cup of chai, she always made everyone feel welcome. The void that is left by her passing cannot be filled, but we can hang on to our fondest memories of her. She will forever be in our hearts.
A visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., and procession of family and close friends to Woodland Crematorium, 493 Springbank Drive, London.

My dear Krishna! You were a very precious member of our Sarnia family. Always smiling and a gracious host preparing delicious dinners for us. You have been in our prayers! Om Shanti Om🙏🕉️🙏😘
I loved Dadi. My fondest memories with her include summers at her house in Sarnia with Dadu and when they would come to take care of us when my parents were out of town. Dadi always let us have McDonald's Happy Meals when my parents said no. I will miss her voice when she picked up every call with "Hi Sweetheart how are you!". She was so cool and you could tell by all her colorful stories of road tripping and roller coasters in her younger years. It brings me peace that she's now with Dadu and I will miss her a lot.

Dear Rashmi and Kapil Very Sorry to know about the passing of your mom dear Krishna ji. She was a very kind and generous person. We remember all the get togethers we used to have first during Preston days and then at the Faulds motel in Sarnia. She and your dad invited us and other Cambridge friends during Christmas time every year and we always enjoyed our time there and the fun times we had. We will miss her dearly. We pray to God to give peace to her soul and give all of you strength to bear the loss. Sorry, we won't be able to attend the Shanti Paath as we would be out of country at that time. Krishna’s lovely face and her smile will always be in our minds. She enjoyed cooking delicious dinners and welcomed us with love. We have very good memories with her. May her soul rest in peace and God give family the strength to bear this loss.
