Peacefully, with his family by his side at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy on Friday, February 24th, 2017, in his 95th year. Beloved husband of Magda for 64 years. Loving father of Laszlo “Les” and his wife Eva. Cherished Papa of Gloria and Robert. Dear brother of Helen Kovacs (the late Bandi). Proud godfather of Paul Sztanko and uncle of Dan, Monika, Andrew, and Ilona. Also missed by various family in Hungary. Predeceased by his sister Pearl “Piroska” and his loving mother Maria Dojcsak. A funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday, March 2nd, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Les are asked to consider the London Health Sciences Centre – Cardiology Department.

I would like to express our condolences to Magdi neni ,Les ( Laci) and his Family . Les (Laci bacsi) was very proud of his multi language capability, liked speaking Hungarian, Russian and English with his neighbors in Lambeth.I have enjoyed lessening to his adventures in Hungary , in Russia and in Canada.
Our Deepest Condolences to the Gombas Family. Your dad, known to me as 'Pops", was a lovely man and always treated me like family. I will always remember his kindness. May he rest in Peace.

My condolences to Magda, Les, Eva, Gloria and Robert. I will always remember fishing trips to Lucan and Arva with Les and Robert. I also have many fond memories of playing in the backyard and enjoying vegetables from Les' garden. May he rest in peace.
