Laura was a member of our church, Rowntree Memorial United Church. She was a member of our ladies group, U.C.W. She worked in the book room at our Christmas bazaar and spring garage sale. Laura loved the books. She sat at our table during a Wedding Dress Fashion Show and we had such a good time together. She touched the hearts of many at Rowntree and will be sadly missed.
Laura and I went to LCCI (London Central Collegiate Institute) together and for the past almost 10 years we have been having lunch every couple of months with a group of gals that were also in our class. We were all shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. we will miss her and I also know she will be missed at the bridge table - a passion of hers.
I was shocked to learn of Laura's passing. I too went to school with her and am one of the gals that had lunch with her. My sincere sympathy to the family at this sad time.2494
I have known Laura since public school at St. George's and I then at Central, the past few years we would often meet and enjoy chatting in Cherryhill where we both lived. Laura was always a kind, caring and gentle soul, I know she will be missed with love by family and friends, RIP Laura
I am another LCCI grad and classmate of Laura's. Laura was a very private person. And, I was most shocked to learn of her passing. She was a very loyal attendee at our luncheons. She was always welcoming with a very positive outlook. She loved the chicken wings at Riverbend! Her presence will be missed in our group. My sympathy to her family and friends.
Laura was a long term member at Curves and one that will not be easily forgotten. Laura would have good days and bad days, but I often joked with her, that with a little laughter, and just talking to her, she was easily "sweeton'd up". Laura had a great smile and contagious laugh- She was one of kind, missed her brother dearly, she had a warm soul-but could be a force to be reckoned with! I personally will miss her dearly as a friend and as part of our membership! Rest in peace Laura Sweeton!
