Lawrence (Larry) Shea
January 27, 1960 - December 21, 2025
Sadly, Lawrence (Larry) Shea, born in Ottawa, Ontario on January 27, 1960, passed away peacefully with his sister at his side at Victoria Hospital on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the age of 65.
Larry is survived by his sister Cynthia (Cindy) Shea, his brother Jeffrey (Jeff) Shea and his two sons, Lawrence and Christopher.
Larry’s keen wit and humour will always be remembered. He was strong, brave and resilient. He was an athlete, a boxer and a baseball champion. Larry is already missed by those who loved him.
The family expresses deep gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Victoria Hospital for their exceptional care.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Fatty Patty’s Bar & Grill, 390 Springbank Drive, London on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Please drop in between 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Burial will take place in the spring. The family plot is south of Ottawa on the St. Lawrence River in Sandtown Cemetery, Stormont, Ontario.

It is Great Sadness to hear of Larry's Passing. I went to Wilton Grove and then Laurier with Larry. Larry was always So Fun and Happy. You will be missed and Always Remembered.
My deepest condolences to the Shea family. Larry was part of the first group to attend Wilton Grove Public School. Although two years my senior, I remember the baseball games in the field, the younger guys watching him on the ice rink and the forever prankster grin. If there was mischief about, Larry was involved somehow. Again, please accept my condolences 💐. May he rest in eternal peace.
