Leslie Jean Blake

October 12, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Jean Blake on Monday, October 12, 2026 in her 73rd year, at home with family.  Cherished spouse of David Blake just shy of 51 years; loving mother to Adam (Mima), Travis (Callie); proud grandmother to Emma, Millie, Addison and Ainslie; sister to Heather Wyant (Ross); sister-in-law to Fred (Jan); aunt to nephews Chad (Jen), Micah (Ayla), Stephen, Robert (Stephanie); great-aunt to Rowan, Avery, Levi and Ozzy.

Leslie was a devoted wife and mother, enjoying hosting yearly gatherings.  Playing with her grandchildren kept her busy, and most importantly, happy.  Leslie and David travelled to Florida once a year where they stayed for 5 months during the harsh Canadian winters.  Her social nature was always front and centre when working at the library at Fanshawe College for over 20 years before her retirement. Leslie will be missed and forever loved by her family and close friends.

In keeping with Leslie’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.

For anyone wishing to make a donation in Leslie’s memory, the family suggests the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
