Linda Carol Gervais

July 19, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Gervais wishes to share of her sudden passing. Linda is survived by sons Trevor (Sophie) of London and Ryan (Karis) of Sarnia. Proud grandmother to Claire, Elliot and Ella Gervais. Cherished sister and aunt to Fred (Kathy) Sucharski of North York and their son Nicholas. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Josephine and brother Kenny Sucharski.

Linda will be remembered as her sons’ biggest fan. She was in the stands loudly cheering them on for every hockey, baseball and BMX bike race.

Born in Winnipeg, Linda moved many times with her family and made great friends and memories in Vancouver, Mississauga and Kilworth, before settling in London.

For years Linda was the smiling face behind the reception desk at Lerners Law Offices answering the switchboard and welcoming clients. After retirement, Linda remained active, volunteering her time at Over 55. Linda loved going up to Fred’s cottage for her annual summer visit to relax by the water. She will be especially missed at Christmas which was her favourite holiday. She spent countless hours wrapping gifts in the most intricate ways (a skill not always appreciated by her grandchildren as they tried to rip into their gifts).

In keeping with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London for a visitation on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 2:00-3:00 p.m., with a ceremony to follow at 3:00 p.m. Private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Linda are asked to please consider the Humane Society London and Middlesex or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

I had the pleasure of working with Linda before she moved on to switchboard. She developed friendships due to her quiet but outgoing personality. She was diligent in her work and was a trusted and integral part of my team. Often she would regale me with Ryan’s accomplishments on the ice knowing of our mutual love for hockey. May you be comforted at this time by fond memories of times together May Linda rest in peace.
