Passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in her 61st year. Cherished mother of Christopher Merrifield (Lorrie) and Michael Merrifield (Theresa). Proud Grandma of Olivia and Isabel Merrifield. Loving sister of Jocelyne Hopkins (David), Lise Patterson (Keith), Paul (Judy), Mark (Frieda), Guy (Deb) and Terry Allen (Brian). Dear aunt to Matthew, Sarah, Jeremy, Devon, Jason and Juliette. Linda will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends. The memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Linda are asked to consider St. Joseph’s Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society.

I not only lost my closest sister Linda, but my best friend. For all the years of suffering you endured here on earth you will be embraced with all of God's love and peaceful surroundings in heaven. You raised a beautiful family with only your morals of what family truly means and you should be proud of all that they accomplished in your name. I will miss our times together and hope to see you someday when we can set up our chairs and watch the waves come into shore. I love and miss you dearly already. Say hi to Mom and Dad for me. ♥
