Lorraine Odette Beauchamp

May 12, 2023

On Friday, May 12, 2023, Lorraine Beauchamp passed away peacefully after a brief illness in London, Ontario at age 69. It would be wrong to say that Lorraine lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. While Lorraine’s family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember Lorraine in a way that honors her spirit. Lorraine is survived by her daughters Jessica (Ziad) Katul and Lindsay (Evan) MacLennan, her son, Nick Patton (Anamika Singh); and her five grandchildren, Lily, Grace, Elias, Sloane and Luna Katul.

Born in Timmins, Ontario to Roger Pierre Beauchamp and Aline Cecile Houle, Lorraine was the mother of three children and a friend to all.  Lorraine might have moved to the big city but she always enjoyed the simpler things in life. She loved to cook, try new recipes to share with her family, and stay active and outdoors. She cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbours. Lorraine was always a source of love, support, and joy for those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love.

All are welcome to attend a memorial visitation at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Her cremated remains will be scattered at a future date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Lorraine are asked to please consider the Canadian Cancer Society or the London Abused Women’s Centre.

This so sad--met you when you were 23 when we worked at the Paddock restaurant with Clare. We sure had lots of fun ---it was only the past winter we hooked back up and went for coffee--it was like time stood still--unforunatley I was in t he hospital when you left--never had the chance to meet your kids--I feel so sad for them--RIP Lorraine you were always so much fun=Ralphie

Jessica, Lindsay, Nick, and families, my deepest condolences for the loss of your dear mom. Her spirit and ever positive attitude were such an inspiration and such a gift to those of us who had the honour of working with her. She brightened everyday at the office be it through the beautiful African violets she distributed and cared for, or sharing her homemade marmalade, or the many discussions about Eddy. I admired how she carried this positivity and courage with her throughout her health challenge, no matter how tough the day was or how big the setback was. We will miss her deeply. I hope you can find peace in the many fond memories you hold and the love she had for all of you.

~ Angela

My deepest condolences and sympathies with you and your family Nick. May the departed soul Rest In Peace. My prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time 🙏🙏🙏

My deepest condolences to the family. Lorraine was a kind, funny, and caring friend. We shared many wonderful times together and although some time had passed, my heart was always with her. I will treasure all the fun times we had together (like all the dinner parties and wine nights). Love always, Olga

I feel blessed for all the memories Lorraine and I have made together. We watched our children grow up and play together. Later we shared the experience and privilege of having Grandchildren. Along with many friends we shared parties, dinners, shopping and girls night! Many summers we shared gardening and the pleasure it brought us both. Mostly I will miss Lorraine's support and get it done attitude. I will miss you deeply my dear friend, but I am happy we shared this journey together.

Lorraine role modelled what it meant to live a present, graceful and kind life. She inspired me with her joie de vivre approach to every day well before she was ill and even after she knew the magnitude of her illness. She faced her uncertain future with optimism, gratitude and a cheerfulness that galvanized my admiration for who she was. She will be missed by all those that had the pleasure of working with her. I will miss swapping recipes, sharing morning coffee and listening to love stories about her four-legged love. Lorraine left an unassuming and indelible impact on me for the leg of the journey that we shared.

~ Sam

Lorraine's bright light will be missed by so many, her family, extended family and vast network of friends and coworkers. I always admired her adventurous spirit and positive attitude about life. She was so much fun to be around and was a cherished friend. I am so thankful for the memories we have shared. I wish her peace and happiness as she looks down upon us with that radiant smile of hers.
