With great sadness, we announce the passing of Louis Novak, who died on Friday, June 20, 2025, at University Hospital in London at the age of 86.
Louis was born in Budganja Vas, Slovenia, on November 25, 1938. He was the oldest of four siblings of Alojzij and Terezija Novak.
He immigrated to Canada in 1958 and settled in London, where he met his wife Stefi. They shared 63 years of happiness together as husband and wife.
He was a loving father to his children, Stephanie (Stephen), Dorothy (Morris), and Christa (Jason), and adored by his grandchildren Tori, James (Danielle), Alex, Matthew, Drew and Nathan.
During his long career as a home framer, Louis was known for his exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail and an unwavering work ethic. He poured his heart and soul into his work, treating every project, large or small, with pride and care.
He was a founding member of the Slovenian Club of London, where his hard work and passion for the Slovenian culture helped make the club a great success.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the doctors and nurses on the fourth floor of University Hospital for the professionalism and kindness they showed in their care of Louis.
A funeral service will be held at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday June 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. For those unable to attend the funeral service a livestream has been made available. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Louis. He was patient, kind and always had a smile on his face. My thoughts are with you all and praying that fond memories will help your hearts to heal during this difficult time.
